Deserves the grind
By DrstYT, 31-10-2020

As soon as his card was released I started playing the games to get him. Now after about 20 games I got him and managed to get him in my squad. At first i tried him in Squad battles and he wasn't where he had to be most of the times. Then i played a Rivals game with him and he was actually very good. The only thing I didn't like was that he was not where he had to be most of the times. Except that when he got the ball he was sensational.

Very usable, solid player
By Flolasinac, 01-11-2020

Well, as I started Fifa 21 building a Ligue 1 squad, I had to do Mollet as soon as he was released. It hasn't been much of a grind for me using TOTW Ben Yedder and Sanches in the 77 rated squad but if you're not willing to buy some decent Ligue 1 players, it can be. So I'm not really sure if he's worth the grind to use him as a super sub for example but at least FUT Friendlies is pretty chill.

I used him this WL in a 4222 formation as a RAM with Depay on the left and Ben Yedder and Niane up front. First of all he is very agile and very well rounded. His dribbling feels decent, much better than Depay on the left imo. He won't body defenders around, but I used Gelson Martins there before and Mollet feels definitly stronger than him. I boosted his pace with a Hunter, but if you're planning to use him as a CAM, Finisher or Engine would get the most out of him. His passing is great but even more so his shooting with Hunter is lethal. Shot power is essential so he scores way more than my other midfielders. His free kicks are very good as well. As an other reviewer said before, his positioning could be better. He makes some good runs, but it feels weird sometimes compared to the likes of Ben Yedder and other top class players.

All in all I would say he is a must have for a ligue 1 squad, especially if you play 4231 and have a spot for a real number 10. His 4*4* is nice as well even though I don't know yet if I prefer the 5*3* combination on the wings, considering the weak foot is not that big of an issue this year.

Worth doing it
By dinocool999, 03-11-2020

Well at the beginning i was hesitating to do it since my tram is mainly Premier League since a got Kante and Rasford Inform untradables, but when that denayer come out,i decide this player was worth the try, and yes it was worth it. I play him on division rivals(division 1) in a 4-2-2-2 formation as the left striker with Timo Werner as the other striker. I decide Hunter chem style was the better for him as striker, to boost a little his pace and finishing. Starting with his pace, he is insane, he outpass players like Varane and Joe Gomez easy, his body type and his agility helps a lot tho, his shooting is insane, in his first division 1 match he scores a hat trick with only 3 shots at target, his passing is also incredible, his short passes are insane and his free kick is so good.

Well defending isn´t good, but also isn´t that bad, in high pressure situations he can steal the ball pretty well, also his physicality isn´t the best, layer lik VVD or laporte can they can trow it just with their strength

  • He is insanely fast
  • His finishing is so good
  • Incredible passing
  • Is free
  • Objectives are kind of fun
  • Excellent in freekicks
  • You have to win 15 games

IMHO, better than cheddar
By chaleur, 01-11-2020

I played Mollet as a False 9 Striker alongside Akinfenwa and he is genuinely better than Ben Yedder 84. Got 5 goals and 4 assists in 6 games in Div 2. His 99 shot power slams the ball past the keeper. Much better passing than cheddar as well, which i guess is super important because he is a F9. Fast enough as well. Dribbling is super good as well, by the way. He feels stronger than cheddar as well.

MolletBallet

Before we get to the actual card, I just wanted to say that doing this objective was extremely fun. Playing with players i would never use was great. Anyway, mollet, I reckon you could use him in any attacking position. with a hunter applied, he is incredibly quick and responsive. I played him as a CAM in a 5-2-1-2, which means he has to do a lot of switch-up play. All his passes are as you want them to be, but ofcourse he isn't de bruyne. In my formatoion he also needs to get in behind the defence a lot, and this, might be the best part of the card. He is very easy to use to get past defenenders and his feet are cannons. He makes the runs in between the centre-backs, one pass and he is in 1v1 with the keeper. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to say that he has the power freekick trait, which makes his freekicks pure class

  • objective is fun
  • Pace is good enough for a cam
  • good links(french)
  • shotpower
  • great passing
  • a bit small
  • you need to have time to complete it. (atleast 3hrs)

French Zidane OP!
By YoussefEzzatWM, 10-11-2020

First of all, I have to say EA are really playing it beautifully this year regarding objective players, the effort one has to do to get a player like this is smaller than the effort of one Weekend League.

Second of all, don't you ever think of skipping a card like this! For a casual Gold 3 player like myself, I use him in 4-3-1-2 behind Niane POTM and IF Volland, and he's calling the shots all over the pitch.

Even if you're a top tier player, this guy coming off the bench sometimes for another team i used in WL was sensational.. Used to shift the tempo 180 degrees coming on instead of Talisca RB.

This guy is the real deal, there is no single thing you would want out of a CAM which he'll not provide, whether it's passing, dribbling, or most importantly SHOOTING! My God, this guy can finish, left right and center. And at worst if he'll never make your team, you have an Icon Swaps French CAM for life! I promise you'll regret him if you miss doing him.

-Very Fast, Agile, and Nimble with the ball, dribbling feels like a poor man's Messi

-His shots, especially from the edge of the box, are outside of this world! He's also very reliable in 1 on 1 situations

-4* 4*, he won't let you down on either feet or in dodgy situations where a Mcgeady spin is neeeded

-Passing is sensational, as the card would tell

-The pivotal "usable" stat of 86 Stamina, makes him reliable in 120 minute situations as well

-Maybe Strength and Height? But you know what to expect when using a player of these measurements and physicality

-League links, however he's French so job done there

Very Solid
By Emmanuelh1, 04-11-2020

So i saw this objective and was really excited to complete it as this card actually looks pretty good. The grind was real but after putting using him in my team it was all worth it. Mollet has such an impact on the game and ends up saving me many times. His finesse shots are wild, almost all of them go in, he is always in the right place, this objective was so worth it!!

I have a free day so i decided to grind this card and swap my CAM (Firmino). This was so bad decision. I gave him a chance in some DR matches before WL and he was so bad, but I built a team already and I didn't had any options to change him. He was slow, slower than Firmino. He dont have Flair trait, so he lose the ball in every close situations because of this and low composure. I also found that he need sub after 60 mins because of his stamina. His passes are worse than overall on the card. To sum up, I didn't expect he will be game changer but I expected minimum of value and for me he is pointless to do. Not worth.
