So i bought this guy as an investment and honestly i have played him on 5 chemistry in the kounde objective, I couldnt believe what this guy was like.
Firstly the teams i faced in the Kounde objective were much tougher than i had anticipated , Mbappe and cantona all over the place , secondly i am used to having high rated squads across fifas so i know what a real 91 vieira feels like.
Honestly this guy is insane , on 5 chemistry he is twice as fast as fabinho across the ground and always in the right place , one thing i did notice was that he is very strong in holding the ball , once he takes it, it is very tough for opponents to tackle him back and take it. passing is honetly underrated completes most of the passes.
this guy made many mbappes look slow.
The 2 cons that i noticed
Stamina , starts struggling after 80 min. hard to link
Best CDM in the game that i have tried till now and for 200k Pfft . even without an upgrade he will be the best CDM till january in this price range.
P.S completely forgot to add he feels like a tank but does not turn like a tank. he actually is able to maneuver really well in the game
I see a lot of people asking in the comments if he can be used at CB, so I thought I'd write a review to try and settle the matter. The answer is an absolute, unequivocal, 100%, stone-wall, blinding YES!!
For context, I used his gold card for 400 games, before upgrading to this one which I've used for nearly 300 games now (In div 1 and WL, if you people are bothered about that). Needless to say, I'm pretty well acquainted with him, his strengths, and his lack of weaknesses.
Regarding his stats, he lives up to every single one of them, and they work perfectly together. The best way I could describe him is as a combination of Varane, VVD and Ramos i.e. three of the peak defenders on every Fifa (and irl for the latter two). He is faster than Varane, both on paper and in-game, he has the strength and sheer bulk of VVD, and he has the ferocious precision tackling and on-the-ball smoothness of Ramos. I defend with a very high defensive line, press the opponent, and regularly leave only 3 players back when I go forward, and this man is 90% of the reason I am able to do that. He is so ridiculously quick that no one can stay goalside of him for long - he'll be level within two strides, between them and the ball in 3, and once he's there no meta player has the strength of win it back - you just turn away and you're on the attack. The only cards that have any hope of staying ahead of him are top-tier target men with 95+ pace, such as Drogba and Haaland, and they are so underused on this fifa that that's hardly a weakness at all.
Now, I said he lives up to every one of his stats, and that is true, but that does of course mean he has one weakness. 67 jumping and 69 heading accuracy are accurate, and result in a card that doesn't compete effectively once the ball is off the ground. It's not a terrible issue, as he's still 6'3 so opponents rarely get a completely clear head on the ball, but it is noticeable when their keeper takes a long kick and the ball ends up spinning high into the air, rather than heading away from your goal. It's certainly not a good enough reason not to get him, but I'm trying to give a balanced review so it would be wrong not to mention it.
In conclusion, for me this card is the pinnacle of defending in Fifa 21. When you look at his stats, it's obvious that should be the case, which is why I'm astonished that I so rarely come up against him even given that he's bundesliga and not a great nation (although Akanji RTTF makes an excellent strong link). He is the one player I never consider selling, and every squad I've built since about the 3rd week of the game has started from how I could get this or his gold card in there, and who I would swap him with to use him at CB (IF Delaney mostly, who is another under-utilised beast).
At around 250k, this card represents absolutely phenomenal value, and I would happily pay 3 times that, such is the impact he has on my team. Hope this helped, and cheers for reading :)
Pace - absolutely ridiculous, catches up to the fastest players even if they have a head start, and allows me to play higher up the pitch
Shooting - not relevant and only ever scored once for me, but fair play to him because it was a bicycle kick
Passing - brilliant, makes it so easy to play out from the back and can ping a through ball straight into the path of your wingers
Dribbling - very good for a CB, just like his passing
Defending - magnificent as long as the ball is on the deck
Physicality - 3rd best in the game after TOTY VVD and the new Boateng
Heading - as above, not an effective aerial presence but he's still huge so it's not a major issue
Links? Some would say yes, but with the range of amazing (and cheap!) Bundes defenders and decent midfielders, plus 4 TOTY cards for those with bigger budgets, I really don't agree. All you need is a little bit of imagination!
In my first squad I used his normal card and absolutely loved him. Now, that a few weeks has passed and I didnt use him in a while (tried many different squads), I decided to give him a go and build a team around him, Davies and Klostermann (all RTTF). He was the main reason I got my best weekend league finish ever (21-9, usually I am 17-18 wins). More detailed why exactly, see Pros and Cons. The fact that this card will even get more upgrade(s) just makes me love him even more!
absolute machine (physicality)
very good positioning (played him as a CDM on stay back and cover center)
wins basically every tackle (if u dont personally f* up the defending part)
way more pacey and agile than I anticipated (despite his big appearance, he has a superb ball control and agility, even though its quite low on the card, just wow)
very decent passing
The only things that I didnt like at times was his stamina. Even though with stay back and cover center its fine if you are not going to 120th minute. If you play him as a CM and both attacking and defending, I can imagine he is exhausted 80th + minute.
THIS CARD IS CRACKED! Got him in the Party Bag SBC and I was definitely disappointed at first.... but then I looked at his stats. HOLY! He's basically a copy and paste Base Vieira. Same work rate, same skills and weak foot, similar height, and the stats are pretty much the same. He works perfectly in the center. Intercepts passes, pushes players off the ball, and the passing with the help of an Engine chem style makes him great for counter attacks. He's not getting anymore upgrades but if he gets a card any higher than this one, I can guarantee you he will be like Mid Vieira or better. 112K is definitely affordable for how good he is.
