I'm going to be honest, I do almost every single objective players. Out of the league player objective players, which includes Mollet, Bellerin, and now Deulofeu, I own all three and can say with confidence that Deulofeu is the most worth it. You've got to understand that this card is free, and for that fact alone, he's a 10/10. He has blistering pace and has the best dribbling stats possible at the moment without chemistry styles. I play him on 7 chem as a striker next to Rashford and he feels great. He's great at assisting and scoring, with both feet. Only real con I've seen so far is the grind to get him. However, I believe it's totally worth it. In my first game with him alone he scored 2 and assisted 2 (Division 2). Like mentioned before, if you have time and like doing objectives or can fit him in your team, do him
* Pace
* Dribbling
* Shooting (with chem style)
* 4*4*
* Good links
* Good workrates
* Time consuming
* Stamina
* Strength + jumping (pretty much all his physicals)
So far, the objectives players we've been getting have all been decent at worst, sometimes surprisingly good -(Looking at you, Mollet) but never felt more than supersubs for decently competitive sides. This has changed with this Deulofeu card. I used to play IF ASM at his position -around 450 game, 400 g/a but was looking for a more consistent finisher and I found it right there. Bar his physicals, the man has it all. Blistering pace combined with insane dribbling, very well rounded passing and pretty decent shooting stats, you can't go wrong with that.
I personally decided to boost his passing and especially shooting with a Deadeye chemstyle since his dribbling is immaculate bar his reactions and composure (which I'd tend to find useless anyway, bad gameplay will not make a 99 reactions player get faster on dead balls or whatever). Maybe boosting his physicals might be interesting but he already has decent strength for such a quick player and his body type allows you to shield the ball efficiently. He doesn't have impressive stats for me because he plays on the side and because POTM son and Rashford phagocyte all the goals and assists but trust me, he's great.
He's a Spanish player in Serie A. His alternatives are POTM Oyarzobal (which I don't like and is better as ST for me anyway), classic La Liga LWs - Hazard - which is probably on a similar power level but more a CAM than a wide outlet or fast striker - and Dembele whose only advantages (and that's a big one) are the 5*/5* and the somewhat bugged and glitchy animations he gets sometime.
IF Insigne is a good shout for Serie A teams but I personally find Deulofeu way better, Insigne (I have his red card) has great finishing and is maybe more explosive with his body type but Deulofeu feels faster past the first man and has more consistent shooting. Costa and the Turkish long shot machine both have their pros and cons but they're nowhere near as complete as Deulofeu. In the end, it's a free card that might not be top top tier but that is certainly a level above the Mollet and Bellerin we've been having.
His dribbling and pace are his main pros. Feels like a better Dembele. Actually, the whole card feels like a better Dembele stripped off his 5/5* which you could argue is more important than stats sometimes.)
His shooting is pretty great. He finishes the chances he should and can be surprisingly good at volleys and the odd shots you think wouldn't get in. His shot power is great and it's arguably the most important stat when it comes to scoring (you again, Mollet)
Passing is great (when the game allows it), not KDB but crossing and short pass is pin point accurate.
Obviously, the downside is his physicals. Strength is pretty decent (especially if you're using Hawk or Marksman)) but his Stamina will force you to sub him at around 60/70, especially if you play him like me on the side.
Now dont start hating on me based on the title, i can say that since I've completed both and rodrygo seems on the poorer side when compared to this guy.
PACE-94
Great pace, he can outstrip defenders plus he isn't too tall so it feels great
SHOOTING- 83
Decent enough, but when you apply a deadeye, that's when the real fun starts. He gets godly upgrades and is then suitable for playing CAM or even ST
PASSING-83
Again, decent enough, but apply deadeye and watch him slap balls across the field.
DRIBBLING- 91
Ninety-one, combined with excellent agility and 4*4* makes him one of the best in the game
So that's it guys. The verdict? Do him instead of rodrygo if you're hard-pressed for time. That's cause rodrygo feels very weak on the ball, and compared to deulofeu, deulofeu seems that he has it in him to shrug off a defender before scoring while rodrygo goes to buy milk everytime a defender breathes on him.
Completed him in between my fut champs game and thought i would test him in a team. I was playing him as a LAM in a 4231 with depay moments at striker, Mollet objective at central CAM and alessandrini at RAM. Guys, hes i so worth the time his dribbiling and pace is really good and he can just sprint past players. His passing and shooting is also really good and with 4 star 4 star he is a really fun player to use.
Deulefeu is not only a free card but a great one as well. He's probably the best Serie A winger on the left-hand side behind Ribery. Feels good in-game and doesn't get pushed around much despite his arguably poor physical stats. On paper, he looks like a really great winger which is where he plays best due to his exceptional pace and dribbling. 99 agility and four-star skills help him phase through defenders while having decent passing and shooting as well. So if his stats are all good, what chem style do we put on him. If you're going to play him as at LW, LM, LF, or LAM, I would slap a deadeye in him to give his finishing a +10 boost while also improving his already good passing stats to help with one-twos. If you already have pacy and agile players in your team and want to play him up front, that wouldn't be a problem but rather than a deadeye I would slap a marksman on him. This helps his pace and dribbling (which doesn't need to be improved) and also his physicality which is crucial to be improved if you want to play him as an st. If you're thinking of getting him, go for it! He's arguably one of the best free cards we've gotten so far and has ok links. It may be time-consuming but on the bright side, he is one of the easiest out of the league players.
So I tried alot of strikers this game (Baby Dalglish, Cruyff, Promes rttf to name a few) and I have to say Deulofeu is the best I played so far.
What stands out is his movement and "quick thinking". I play "pressure on heavy touch" and he is always close to a defender tackling aggressively (we all know KI tackling op) which leads to goals. His movement is superb, he recognises space extremely fast, comes close when needed or offers a run in behind.
Shooting feels like 5* wf, his powershots are cracked, his chips are broken and his finesses from inside the box are dangerous.
Passing is really solid aswell which alows you to play quick one-twos.
His agility and dribbling dispite his height and strength is really top tier smooth and compared to the likes of Robben or Dembele he actually feels kinda strong.
All in all GG to everyone who did this guy since he is broken in my opinion. He is just fun to use since his movement is superb and he feels super nice. 10.5/10 player.
