Packed this man in a Starter SBC pack, untradeable. Managed to build a defense around him and now it feels like a wall in front of my keeper. His defensive stats are already pretty good for a 85 CB, plus his 89 strength and great Physicality. You´re probably afraid of his pace, but it´s fine. Give him a shadow and he´s basically Franco Baresi. 96 defense and a decent 75 pace, beside a quick CB you´re most likely never conceding. Once again: use him beside a QUICK CB, like De Ligt and Koulibaly with Shadows. His passing skills aren´t insane but they never let me down, and when on pressure he manages to work well because of his 99, 97 defensive stats. Freaking tower if you know how to use him.
He´s gonna get a guaranteed +1 boost when he plays UCL Last 16, and if they win the first match against Bayern, which can happen since it´s at home, another +1. Make sure to buy him now while he´s still 14k.
After doing the Bruno G SBC I needed a centre back who would get a strong link to cannavaro/my keeper for chem reasons, my coin budget was near to non existent and after vaguely remembering this guy being ok from a draft i decided to pay the 20k coins to bring him in, it was a bargain. Whilst not being quick by any stretch, Acerbi feels nowhere near sluggish and his 6'4 frame means he can tackle/block from slightly further away than shorter defenders, paired with an otherwise quick back line, his pace wasn't an issue even up against the very paciest attacks.
Where this card really excels is his defending and physicality, he wins absolutely everything and his height means he can stretch to rescue you with his blocking and last ditch tackling. He's obviously nowhere near meta, but for 20k and cheap useable italian centre backs being hard to come by, he's an excellent option for the price.
