This guy is AMAZING. I played him as my attacking CM in a 442 at 2300 SR, and I was NOT dissappointed.
Originally I just wanted to get someone in my team until I could afford baby Zidane, but that has definitely changed now.
I have played 21 games and he managed to get 12 goals and 17 assists - more than a goal contribution a game, FROM CM, despite rage quits.
He is the perfect CM for pressing and going forward and I cannot reccomend him enough.
-Passing
This mans passing is ELITE. I have never, and I mean NEVER used anyone with better passing than this guy.
He can literally ping a throughball the length of the pitch, or find a gap in a parked bus that Simeone and Mourinho would be proud. He creates so much I can barely put it into words, and the stats don't do him justice.
-Dribbling
Somebody took two magnets and hid one in the ball, and one in his boots.
The way he twists and turns and keeps the ball so close, that even Kante would break his ankles if he even attempts to dispossess him, is absolutely mindboggling. The only way you're getting the ball off him is by almost breaking his legs and giving away a free kick.
-Shooting
I was very pleasantly surprised by his shooting. Looking at the 76 finishing on his card, I didn't expect much, but I can tell you that stat is FAKE.
I don't know if its the composure that gives an extra boost, but I can only recall a single shot inside the box, in more than 20 games, that didn't go in. Left foot, right foot, doesn't matter. As long as he is in the box, it's a goal.
-Physicality
He is not particularly strong or tall, so he doesn't have the defensive presence of a Gullit or Vieira.
-Defending
The defensive awareness isn't the greatest, so when jockeying he occasionally feels a little slow. This is only a problem if you defend passively, or otherwise get pushed back by a good opponent. His interceptions are great though, so if you are playing aggresively and pressing, he is the perfect option.
I was lucky getting this item from the mid/prime icon sbc from the icon swaps 1. Xavi is an amazing card for any squad. I use him as a second CDM in a 4-2-3-1 formation with shadow chem style next to someone more defending oriented player. Xavi is totally a box to box player with defending and attacking skill, but overall, a ceative and building player. He is able to defend with his amazing interceptions ability and also able to steal the ball. The best quality of Xavi is having the ball and start the building up and distribution. If you get this card you probably will not regret it, he is different from other cards (in a good way for your gameplay), a lot of players don't except Xavi, that looks like he is no a defender, but omg the intercepts the balls as Kante sabotaging the opponent's offensive. Interestingly, despite his stature, he is capable of earning the pitch on defensive corner kicks with his unbelievable play-reading to gain position earlier.
I got Xavi from Prime icon upgrade, and I was so excited bcs I am a big fan and a supporter of Barcelona. I replaced Jones for Xavi, and I am playing him alongside headliners Goretzka. I really like him ingame, he is the brain of my team, managing and controlling the game.
PACE 9/10
Pretty fast ngl, with shadow he has very good acceleration and sprint speed.
SHOOTING 8/10
Descent shooting, niice long shots and shot power, finishing is sometimes questionable, but it aint that bad. Positioning in attack is great, he is always coming short for passes
PASSING 10/10
His best stat is vision, and I can finally see the diffrence between some players without vision and with this kinda vision, also great short and long passing, always connecting the pass and that is why he got 10/10
DRIBBLING 10/10
Great responsivnes and composure, he is very agile and responsive. He has a great first touch and reactions, but the composure is very apparent on this card, and that is what everyone needs in middlefield
DEFENDING 9/10
He is suprisingly good, great jockey and great interceptions. He can also grab the ball very easy from players, but his height lets him down sometimes aswell as his reach.
PHYSICALITY 7/10
Stamina is great, but his strength is most of the time dissapointing, and his agression isnt that great even tho he can be very agressive sometimes.
I will give him 10/10 because he is absolute mind and midlefield maestr, and totally worth it, also a very fun card to use.
Ok So got this guy out of the Prime Icon SBC. initially didn't think he would be great as i already had rooney at secondary CDM. after pushing rooney up to cam and putting this monster in i can tell you for a fact this guy is the best attacking/ build up CDM for the price. I have played around 15 games with him so far, getting a goal or assist every game, the passing is brilliant, balls over the top/ to wingers are immaculate. Something that really goes unnoticed is the dribbling, Xavi has a tendancy when pushing up to turn into TOTY messi and easily get through defences, such an underrated quality. Shooting is good, used with a shadow so not exeptional but will get the job done no problem. Honestly reminds me alot of the flashback modric card from last fifa in the way he plays.
I was hesitant doing the prime icon pack but i did it and i ended up getting 93 Xavi, i wasn't too excited but i thought he looks quite incredible and he is Xavi so i popped him into my team. To get the most out of him he needs to be your go to CAM and be the playmaker, unfortunately for me i have POTM2 Bruno Fernandes and he is literally better than Xavi in every way imaginable. And for that i couldn't move Bruno out of the CAM spot for Xavi, so now i play him as a LCM in a 4-3-1-2 with free roam and balanced on him, since he has 90 stamina i prefer him not to run too much so he can last well all game.
His stats are accurate, he feels slick in game and very fast on the ball due to the agility and silky smooth dribbling, passing is insane, he whips balls across the pitch and does great outside foot passes. I do find the lack of 4 star weak foot a bit shite, as left footed passes can go hay wire pretty often which is frustrating. Pace is good enough, i don't feel the need for Hunter or Shadow, instead i've put gladiator on him to make really good finishing and interceptions come from the card. he is 5'7 and super weak, he gets knocked off the ball with ease so you have to kind of shield away from the tackle more so.
Overall he is good for a CM, better at CAM but for me Bruno has the spot
