Vidic Review - Icon swaps beast!

As I write this, it is the 26th of March, and Vidic is still in my team. I am slowly looking for an upgrade as Vidic isn't as good as he was earlier in the game cycle, but he still puts his shift in. Where to start off! This dude is a beast in defending, a physical beast at that. His tackles are very good and don't let the ball bounce around, he just gets the ball (this is the problem I have with using fullbacks at cb, they often don't cleanly get the ball from the opponent, that's why I prefer actual CB's, they just have something, I think it is agression). His phyiscal is top tier and nearly always wins aerial battles. His pace is pretty good, nothing too special tho. He isn't a rapid cb, but has very good positioning so that makes up for it a lot. I will admit that his passing is absolutely horrible, and you just have to get the ball away from his ASAP because if you try a hard pass with him he will give the ball away.

Also, he has this Icon/play for the badge trait feeling. If you know, you know. Some players just give that little bit extra, it is hard to explain. He really does put himself on the line. I've had him literally jump in from of an open net to block the ball, while very frustrating for my opponent, I was very proud of Vidic at that moment

I have tried Varane, and Rio ferdinand MID icon, and while they are probably more meta, he fights more for the ball

His defending/tackling is top tier

His physicals are top tier

His pace is pretty good

His dribbling, for a guy his size, is pretty darn good

Fights for the badge

His passing is awful

If you drag him out of position it can be hard to get back to the opponent

An interesting player, different to use and quite funny if you were a fan of him when he played for UnitedIt has a similarity with VVD but even so I feel a little better because it goes faster than him, it is true that there is also a lot of money for a central but it is what you pay for an icon

Absolute Monster

When I got this card i didn´t expect much because of his pass and dribbling stats. But after 200 games withhim I cn say that he is the best CB ingame for me! I played CB like Varane, Gomez and many other meta cards but he´s definetely the best of them. His tackles are world class, his pace is good and his strenght rocks.
