I'll preface this review by saying this man is absolutely cracked. If you can find a way to fit him into your team with a Ghanaian or by using Icons, or whether he sits on your bench as a super sub, Acheampong is by far the most fun I have had on this game. His current stats for me are 12 goals in 10 games, however it would have been 18 goals on his record had he not induced 3 rage quits during my games. All games were played in Division 1.
Pace - 10/10
Nothing more to say here, Acheampong with a Hunter is the fastest card I have used this year along with Mbappe. If he is level with most centre backs when the ball is played through to him, they're not catching him. If he stands a defender up, they're not catching him when he decides to accelerate. Phenomenal.
Shooting - 9/10
Acheampong's left foot is an absolute cannon. He gobbles up chances inside the box for fun, whilst he is a danger anywhere within 25 yards of the opponents goal. There's no need for finesse with Acheampong, simply aim and let fly with the laces. The only issue I had with Acheampong's shooting was his weak foot - I had no issues within 12 yards, however anything further is quite inconsistent. He's serviceable from further away, however you're better off using his ridiculous agility to shift it on to his left foot, which I'll talk about later.
Passing - 8/10
Only 1 assist may seem quite poor from 10 games, however Di Natale simply could not keep up with the play when Acheampong broke through the lines so he ended up in on goal with little support most of the time. When playing opponents with much deeper lines, Acheampong's passing is perfectly adequate. He finds the player I'm aiming for more often than not, however once again due to the dribbling on this card I'd often find myself deciding to try and square up a defender with Acheampong rather than pass it off, more on that below.
Dribbling - 10/10
This is where the magic happens. The ball sticks to his feet, he changes direction on a whim and I can tell you with absolute honesty that in the 10 games I have so far played that with the exception of Mbappe no other player I have used comes anywhere near to the speed and control with which Acheampong changes direction. His ball control is only 83 however I had absolutely no issues controlling driven passes into his feet. Whilst sprinting with Acheampong you can almost dribble in zig-zags at full speed which makes it incredibly difficult for opponents to get anywhere near him without diving in and I often used this to my advantage by creating space for a quick 1-2 once I had figured out however my opponents defended. If you are reading this review and have used Mbappe, he feels as broken as he does with the ball at his feet. Top, top tier.
Defending - 5/10
Leaving this rating neutral as I don't tend to press from the front. Looking at his in-game stats seems to suggest Acheampong might be a good option if you play that way due to the ridiculous stamina coupled with the 65 standing tackle - which after looking on FUTBIN seems to be 20 to 30 points higher than most top-tier attackers.
Physicality - 8/10
Very, very impressive for a man that only stands 5'6'' tall and has a 'Short and Lean-' body type. I only really struggled to go side-by-side against CBs with more significantly more strength than him, such as Van Dijk, Sule, Pique and most commonly Kimpembe. Players like Marquinhos, Varane, Kounde and Eder Militao were more often than not shrugged off. I found the 97 balance really helped with this rating as whenever he got barged by a defender he would more often than not stay on his feet. The stamina was also a huge bonus as he never, ever needed to be substituted and would still be causing issues for my opponents in the dying embers of the games, whilst his strike partner Di Natale would be gasping for air like Bateson during his Wembley Cup performances.
Overall I can't recommend this card enough. I have used my fair share of top tier players however this is the first review I've ever bothered to write out as this card is too good to rot on people's benches as a super sub. Find a way to get him into your team, and I promise you won't be disappointed. For his current price (I paid 20,000 coins), no other player comes close.
Pace (feels as quick as Mbappe)
Agility and Balance
Dribbling (super responsive)
Finishing (clinical anywhere in and around the box on that absolute CANNON of a left foot)
Chemistry - unless you have the luxury of Icons then Chemistry is a massive problem and the only reason this card is as cheap as it is. If you cannot afford Essien or the Icons needed for 10 chemistry then you have a few serviceable Ghanaians (Abedi Pele, Moments Boateng or Rulebreaker Kudus) which can net you 8 chemistry which is more than enough for Acheampong.
Weak foot anywhere further than 12 yards from goal
Strength against big CBs (VVD, Kimpembe, Sule etc).
BROKEN card, this is fifa 22's Ibarbo he is a god. So quick, easily beats kimpembe and varane etc, His shooting is so god and powerful, left foot rocket. Links are bad but linked with icons is no worries as they are cheap this year. Link this guy with a quick striker or target man and your winning. for me i used Daka 87 and they run riot. DISGUSTING card. 10/10
