ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC - Winter Wildcards FIFA 22 Prices and Rating

I was casually opening promo packs and then suddenly I got a wildcard. I was expecting somebody like Florenzi or Taremi but no. This God pops up. I decided to give him a go and its safe to say that he plays beyond his stats. He scores every shot and with the 5* skills, he cannot be tackled. Him being 6'5 also helps a lot because he wins every header against your physical defenders such as Van Dijk, Varane, Kimpembe, Marquinhos, etc... He demonstrated great pace, shooting and passing abilities, as well as good dribbling and a physical presence.

So to start with before i say anything i think everyone will agree with me when i say 3.2 million coins is disappointing for zlatan. Not because of the stats just due to the fact that i know so many people (Me included) love this guy as a player and loved his classic FIFA 19 card and the hefty price tag means that only people with a lot of hours or packluck can afford him.

I am an elite division 2200SR player and i can instantly state i am not disappointed with this card in game at all. I know the meta is usually pacey players with agility balance and the ability to turn at lightning speed. Obviously Ibra lacks some of these qualities making him a bit confusing to understand at first but eventually i figured out how to utilise him and made progress.

His shooting is devastating when in the right positions and his positioning and quality of his runs is extremely consistent. He does turn like a truck if you try and do to much on the ball with him but he can do skills with ease and changing of direction is decent enough to shift a centre back and create space. His aerial ability is an obvious advantage, being 6'5 he wins corners and crosses with ease as well as being able to hold back a defender from catching up once in behind. His pace is also very good once you get going i find if he is clear in behind nothing stops him and he can chase down through balls just not to the extent of a shorter more agile player.

Although these are all positive points is he really worth 3 mil? Personally i think that i would spend 2 mil on him as he is a great card and a fantastic finisher but for 3.1 mil a mid cruyff is just as good and offers similar qualities while being easier to link. I am aware that i am lucky to be able to afford a card like this and not everyone plays as much as me to be able to buy him, but if you really are stuck on wether to buy him just go for it. As said before He is nothing like a quick striker with pace that can outpace varane and kimpembe but if like me you wanted to have some fun and put him into your team you will not regret it at all.

I'm aware my review may not be the greatest but i just want to share my opinion and hope this helps a few people struggling to decide.

He's probably the best striker in the game. He's fast, pushes all opponents over, has an unbelievable header game, overview like Toni Kroos and has an unbelievable conclusion. Every shot is a torpedo. This guy is insane.

Was lucky enough to pack him on it's release, fit like a glove in my serie a hybrid team so couldn't be more happier. I tried him as striker for some games but felt he was bit better as CAM for me, so a huge portion of the games he was played as CAM in Div 2-Elite / Champs.

He isn't a meta player and I am not a skiller so dribbling with him was and still is quite tough. While I sometimes wish I had more meta dribbler as CAM instead of Zlatan, but still the number of times he has saved me with his amazing runs and reliable finishing makes it worth it in the end. Even if I lose a game, Zlatan will still get some goal contribution for himself as his numbers show.

His finishing is second to none, his best attribute and perhaps the best finisher I have tried this fifa. His 4* wf is almost as good as 5*. His attacking AI, volleys, chip shots and first time shots are ridiculously great, high composure helps a lot under pressure, headers are good too but I don't try them often. Although with the latest patch he has started to miss few shots that he wouldn't have pre-patch but I can't fault him for that when it's down to the patch.

His passing is amazing for most part, only sometimes he misplaces a final pass but that's more down to EAids deciding that keeper will win the ball instead of my striker, besides that he's a reliable quick passer.

Great pace and balance for his size, he is quite fast at getting in behind for his height and body type.

Dribbling is his only con imo, although it's more down to my inability to use skill moves and not good enough left stick dribbler in general. But even with engine his dribbling / agility / body movement can feel bit clunky so I usually don't bother to dribble too much with him.

Great physicality as the stats show, stamina is good enough to last whole game even as a hard working CAM role. Strong on and off the ball although I feel the strength stat is done dirty this fifa so it doesn't feel as OP as it should be with his physical stats, still quite good.

Defending is surprisingly decent due to his pace and long legs, can be quite helpful at pressing opponent's defence or stopping kick off glitch abusers.

After having already saved up about 1.5 million before his release coming in at 3 million, I had to save up nearly another 2 weeks to be able to actually afford him and I felt kind of sad, having spent 2.9 million on 1 player. After 20 games however, this sadness has completely made way for absolute joy. This man is just insane. I have never written a review before (play FUT since Fifa 14), but I just felt I had to with this one. Hope you guys enjoy it, cheers!

Pace (8.5/10)

90 pace for a player that is 6'5", slap an engine on him to boost both his pace and dribbling, which makes him feel even faster. Would not necessary say 95 pace fast, but if you give him the ball when he is on the shoulder of the defender, he will win it for you.

Shooting (9/10)

92 shooting, no chem style boost needed here I would say, his shooting is on par I would say with mid Eusebio and better than baby and mid Cantona with a hunter. However sometimes he misses some big opportunities, but this happens to my baby Cruyff as well, so might be down to me playing Fifa like an absolute idiot. Attack positioning is just out of this world on this man, always at the right place, doing the right thing. Long shots are deadly as well, both finesse and absolute bangers. 20 games (Champs qualifiers and Elite Rivals), 34 goals, need I say more?

Passing (9/10)

I have used him at striker as you should in my opinion, but you can use him at cam if you like. His passing is an absolute bonus for me, even though it was boosted by the engine chem style, 88 passing for base stats is already great for any forward I would say. It got him 9 assists in 20 games, so I would say that's quite a decent return.

Dribbling (10/10)

Dribbling is outstanding, you wouldn't expect for a guy of his height. He feels more agile than mid Cantona and about the same as baby Cantona. The engine chem style really helps here I think, he feels so fluid on the ball. This combined with the 5* skills, him and his strenght scoop turning around defenders, just amazing.

Physical: (9.5/10)

Sometimes he got bullied of the ball by certain defenders (van Dijk/Koulibaly/Sule), however most players just get put on their place by him. Heading however, just another level, better than any player I have used so far, including TOTGS CR7. Stamina has not been a problem for me, he is able to play the full 90 minutes for me.

Overall (9.5/10)

It was an absolute joy to play with this man, he will be in my club until TOTS and maybe even beyond, I just enjoy this man so much. I have used baby Cantona, mid Cantona, baby Cruyff, mid Puskas, mid Eusebio, IF Mbappe and TOTGS CR7, but this absolute man of a man bested them all. 3 million is a lot of coins and you could build the greatest of teams with that. It just depends on your financial position, if you have the coins or even need to sell half your team, I would do it I think (sounds so weird to say), but this genius just upped my game to another level. To everyone who already has him: Congratulations!

I tried my hardest to make 3 million coins and even sold my squad just to play with this beast. And he didn't disappoint. I can safely say that this is the best non-icon striker in the game right now. He can do everything. He has 90 pace which is rapid in game, he is super fast and no one can catch him, his dribbling is insane with the boosted agility. His shooting ability is top-tier and he can out muscle almost everyone. He can pass very well which is really important this year. I used engine on him and he is unreal in game. Insane pace, shooting, dribbling, physical, passing. This guy has it all. Favorite and best card i used this year...

Just to quickly preface before i start, before the reset i had 1937 skill points in Elite on PS4 and i would always end WL 12-5. I got Zlatan untradeable and was insanely happy, because i loved using Arnautovic RB as a target man, but he was really annoying to link in my hybrid team, so Zlatan with his upgraded stats and better links would work a charm. I put a marksman on him and played some rivals games in Div 2, at first i wasn't really sure about him, he was a bit hard to move on and off the ball. But after a few games something clicked and i figured out how to use him properly. His shots are really good in 16 games he's always scored at least 1 goal, the upgraded strength and jumping with a marksman makes him insane in the air and impossible to get off the ball unless you get a perfect tackle from directly in front of him. He moves into space really well and with his strength he can hold off defenders well in a sprint duel. Overall i really like this card he is a lot of fun and will definitely stay in my team for many months if not until the end of the year, BUT i don't think anyone should pay 3 million for this card, since you can get players that will work better than him.

I packed Ibrahimovic out of an 85+x10 and decided I'd swap him for my TOTS Vlahovic who was feeling incredibly clunky. I'm a Div 2 player, but I have struggled all Fifa to keep my team Meta due to being away from home so I often went a few weeks without playing. I've only played 250 games this FIFA. Having said this I still have managed to do quite a few pot luck sbcs as I like to call them this year via coins made from the occasional bit of trading. My team is completely untradeable. I felt Ibrahimovic was a bit outdated but still scored a lot of goals and felt surprisingly OK on the ball although some heavy touches sometimes left a bit to be desired. In the air he was brilliant and I felt that the engine chemistry style made him feel a lot less clunky on the ball. I would say he is is still usable if you pack him for another couple of weeks. At times he was the best player on my team but sometimes he felt as if he was giving the ball away far too much.

So I got him from my WWC 85x10 pack. First time I am lucky with untradeables.

So Zlatan fit right into my Serie A squad but it took some time for me to get used to his tanky body type. He is a different type of player compared to the meta with Mbappe, Neymar and such and can be quite clunky from time to time. Of course he compensates that with really good shooting, high strength and the ability to get above anyone in the air. Even though he has high speed, you can really feel that he is more of a Klose than a Mbappe which sometimes can be a bit frustrating, but if you can adept your play style to him he fits well in pair with a more "lean" forward. (Him and my Di Natale fits great together.) The meta this year is a lot about agile dribbling and not as much about pace as in the past. Zlatans stats says that he fits right in but as he is 195cm and 95kg you will notice that you have to adept to him having the ball to get his full potential. I think there are too many good cards out there this year for Zlatan to have the impact on the game he had in 2019. He is an awesome addition and something new to the game but not the FIFA changer I was hoping for.

So is he worth 2.8mill? I have to say I got a bit disappointed. He is right up there with CR7 and Mbappe but IF I actually would have payed this high for a player in this market I wouldn't want a marginal difference to cards that are a third or even a tenth of his price.

In his 7 games he has score 10 goals and got a few assists.
