I found this pure genius in the last mid/prime player pick, as a French person I was so excited to try him out. I was not disappointed at all this card is amazing. His passing is the best you could have, short and long passes are always right on spot but his through passes are just from another world. Let's talk about dribbling now, his lack of agility could be a problem but when you understand how to use him you completely forget it, his strenght and balance are amazing he's very solid even against FB Varane or Dias and Maquinhos TOTY, ball control is elite too. His speed is fine but don't expect to outpace defenders, if you play him as a 10 it's alright. Finishing id very good maybe try him with hunter to make it perfect. I play him in a very offensive position so I don't really know about his defending but I guess it is okay for an offensive CM. If you have the budget give him a try especially if you're a fan of him !
so I packed this guy outta the primeicon pack. I need to say that english isnt my main language but i will try my best. So i played him in Div 1 as a cam with a little defensive part. I had players like ney and ben yedder around him and he conrtolled the whole pitch.His pace is ok but dont think he can outrun other players.his shooting is amazing.you can shoot from distance or from inside the box.He can score from just anywhere with his great shooting stats.The passing is absolutly amazing too.Every pass comes perfect Those over the top passes are op with him .His dribbling is perfect .His agility isnt that good but if you skill alot like me and then pass its not that important. I mean do a elastico and then pass anywhere. But you can do soloruns withhim as well.His defending is okay but his physicality isnt that good.He only got 88 stamina wich is ok. But somtimes ingame with the ball he feels like a rock.weakoot and skills are nice . So overall he can do everything execpt being fast an agile. And i used engine to boost the agility
I bought my Zidane with shadow chemstyle and used it as well because I wanted to press my opponents and win the ball high on the pitch. I played him in 4-2-2-2 formation up front as a left striker with false 9 instruction because I wanted him to get involved in the build-up and simultaneously get in front of the goal as often as possible. Also I wanted to play him centrally, because his potential would be wasted on the line in my opinion.
Pace and Shooting
With hunter, shadow or catalyst chemstyle Zidane's pace is upgraded by 10 to 96 Acceleration and 94 Sprint Speed respectively and with these stats he will be able to outrun defenders on regular basis. There is literally nothing wrong with this guy's shooting either. Just create some space for him in and around the 18-yard box and you know your opponent is in instant trouble. He scored some insane volleys for me and bear in mind that these are mostly FUT Champions games you are watching right now. Right foot, left foot, it does not matter, he is excellent with both feet and together with 5-star skill moves he becomes an unpredictable beast. 92 positioning is another welcome bonus to his arsenal, meaning he excels at offering you a passing option at the right moment, staying on-side instead of running aimlessly forward in a straight line. That being said, I think it is fair to admit that even someone like Zidane can miss some easy opportunities, but I guess that is just FIFA in general - not allowing you to score in clutch situations when you need it the most.
Passing
As you can see from these clips, Zidane's passing ability is one-of-a-kind and he distributes the ball in the game just like he did when he was an active player, no matter the distance or angle. He was one of few players that I have used this whole FIFA that could deliver high-quality crosses into the penalty box.
Dribbling
His dribbling feels nice but is nowhere near the level of the likes of Maradona. His lower agility is definitely an issue when trying to create shooting or passing lanes in tight spaces. His balance is not good either and you will find him stumbling way more often than is acceptable for a player of his caliber. We all know that Zidane was just epitome of elegance while on the ball. He dictated the tempo of the game even in his mid-thirties, unfortunately he does not feel that dominant in this game. His stellar dribbling and ball control stats can not offset the lack of agility and under bad gameplay conditions you will be frustrated to see plenty of his shots get blocked due to his delayed reactions.
Defending and Physical
His impact on defending is definitely not as big as I expected, medium defensive work-rate and low aggression being among the most significant factors to lower his presence in defence and re-pressing. His frame in game is considerable, however, it does not seem to help him much in the aerial duels since 75 jumping is just not good enough and he loses headers against much shorter opponents in the centre of the pitch.
To conclude this review however, I must say I still had a blast using him, after all, it is still Zidane and whichever of his cards should be cherished by all football fans.
I got him in my prime pack like 2 months ago, I tried him in a 4-2-3-1 as cdm and went kinda meh. Then I tried him on cam (with mbappe st) and he was an absolute beast. Perfect shooting with both legs, 5* skills and got strength. However and dont know why I feel his passing a bit bad, I mean he has 96, he should pass perfectly but he misses a lot of simple passes and when u try something risky he just gift it to the rival. His speed is top tier with hunter, it feels like 90 or higher and he can overpass a lot of good defenders just running. Another bad thing about him is positioning, he always try to run past the defense even with the right instructions (thats why I cant use him on cdm) and most of the plays he is even further than mbappe and if u have the ball on your cdms u cant pass it to him bc he is really far.
Well, where do I start with this card… I packed him out of my prime icon pack and expected a godlike midfielder. And well, I think I´ve never been more disappointed of a card. How did EA manage to ruin a card with stats like that. I played all 12 games in Fut champs (10-2) with Zidane as cam in 4231 and he got 2 goals and 4 assists… How is that even possible? His pace is ok with engine but don´t expect to outrun cards with more than 80 pace. His shooting is confusing, with 92 on the card you´d expect him to at least hit the goal. Yeah… no. The only reliable way to score are his finesse shots from outside the box but even those can get tricky when you don´t hit green. I´d say his passing is the best thing about this card. He manages to get the ball behind the defense most of the time and his crosses are ok too. I haven´t tried his freekicks yet but I probably wouldn´t expect too much. His dribbling is not too bad too. It gets the job done against weaker defenders but I wouldn´t try to skill against sb like Varane fb, Kante toty or Kimpembe. I don´t even want to talk about his defending. I played him as offensive cdm the first 2 games but instantly regretted it. His physis also isn´t better than meh. Most of the time he just gets tackled and falls to the ground and his stamina feels more like 77-80.
Would I recommend this card? Absolutely not, for that price you can get Jorgihno or Kdb toty, Vieira prime or Maradona prime, which will do far better than him.
