Im writing my first goalkeeper review on my most used goalkeeper this game, Manuel Neuer. I have used a lot of goalkeepers this year but there were all pretty much the same if it comes down to performance.
I have used almost every keeper but Neuer is just different and here is why.
Neuer has a 4 star weakfoot and 91 kicking, for those who play in high divisions know how important it is to keep the ball in your team and to have a goalkeeper that is able to play in high pressing situations.
His stats are already amazing, use him on basic and he will be one of the best if not the best on every keeper stat.
He is 6,4 ( 193cm) which is not the tallest keeper if you compare him with courtios or donnaruma. but his traits and extra's make up for it.
The reason i love neuer in game is because of his fast play. due to his amazing positioning and handling, Neuer will be able to get the ball fast in his hands, combine that with the long throw trait and he will massively help in your build up play for a counter attack.
His performance is always a 8/10 atleast, if less it would be because EA decided that the score would look more on that of a basketball game. When you get used to him, he will outperform every keeper.
He has the rushes out of goal trait, most people don't like this trait. but i love it. Neuer has never fooled a striker that he tackled with rushing out of the goal. by just coming out of the goal a little he will still save and dive in one v one. only problem.. timed chip shots..

only real downside is that he sometimes feels clumbsy, but to be absolute honest in crucial moments every player will be that when EA decides that luck won't be at your side.
Neuer is one of the worst keeprs i've used this year. I have used him for 142 games now since I did the Sule sbc and needed him to be on chem. I had used Lloris and Donnarumma before and I know they are very common this year but that is for a reason. After about 15 games I felt like Neuer was letting in goals that would have not gone in with Donnarumma. A lot of easy saves were missed and it affected the games, often losing because of my keeper. I thought I must have gone insane and switched out my Niakhate and brought back Kimpembe so I could use Donnarumma. And after that I never switched back. I think it is due to the personality styles ea have tried to program into the game where the players feel more like their in real life counter parts. But this just makes some keepers better than other. After having used Neuer for 142 games and Donnarumma for over 190 I can easily say Donnarumma is way better. Even Lloris felt more safe (although I haven’t used him since the start of the game).
