Player Review

Hi guys,

I am absolutely Geed up writing this review. I had read the opinion on 90 Pirlo before selling my Kante (I have RB Verrati to take on his position)to get him. Reading up about him, I was going in for this buy already fully confident he will be worth it. I have a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow formation with Sterling and Messi up top, Pirlo ushering them at CAM, being supported by KDB and SIF Nkunku as CM's from behind, with RB Verrati closing up shop before the backline as CDM. I already knew no matter how he is this FIFa, he will be more than usable at the very least as CAM.

Before I begin, here is a bit about my play style and skill level.

I am a Division 1 player, but find it very very difficult to win 3/4 games in a row. The best I have managed is 2 in a row, thus being stuck at Rank 3 forever. Division 2 and below was honestly a breeze, but the game just seems so much more tough in Div 1,

Any ways, in champs, I have reached the 44 point point (where the TOTW pack becomes available) every time I have played.

I am not a very big skill merchant, but L-stick and some signature skills i kind of tend to overuse. I am not a 5star skiller except for a few basic ones.

So here goes,

FIRST GAME

I have kick off and obviously I pass to Pirlo to kick off the game. one ball roll and then just some twists and turns to get a feel of him with the L stick before the opponent reaches me. His Mbappe rushes in to tackle, and I am thinking... there goes my first move with Pirlo, so I try a last ditch turn, and whoa!!! I MEAN WHOA !!!! Mbappe is a couple of metres past me, and Pirlo has done a reverse turn and already prodded the ball open into space between his midfielders. By this time my Messi is running between his Varane and Kante into some open space, which is just the perfect setup for me to test Pirlo's passing and vision. Instead, I charge with Pirlo wanting to see that response time with the turn earlier again. I mean, can I do it again? And so starts my MOST satisfying run with the L stick ever. Weaving left and right, darting forward, quick stops to change direction and charge forward into gaps. I wasn't even sure I was in control a lot of times. I got Messi very early on, so I am used to his level of dribbling. But this was genuinely feeling like some thing else. That pace rating is so so so misguiding. I mean those turns and runs forward were just blazing, with clinical responses to my every slight direction. It felt like I was playing on 1 ms (I play usually at 36-42). Any ways, Still mentally absorbing how my dribbling had just miraculously become cracked all of a sudden!. Now I am about 35 yards out when in a split second the thought flashed to go for an insanely long finesse into the top right bin. Obviously I had read what people were saying about his finesse. By this time, Varane is rushing in for a tackle, and I go for the power up R1 cannon. His composure just made him look like taking a spot kick in his backyard, Pirlo's legs were taken from under him by Varane, but the shot was already clean off, going going going.... inside post and cleared :(

That was it. that's actually all you need to know about this card.

I kept passing the ball to PIRLO and just running him after that first move. Ended with 2 goals 2 assists, Final score 4-4.

I have played 20 games with him since, I AM SO SO SO SO HAPPY WITH THIS CARD !!!

Passing, just just just..... jizzzzzz

Remember those passes in FIFA 21, where you could just hold down the R1 and power up the pass all the way across the pitch diagonally to the winger. I think I smelt the grass burning as the ball seared through it. Through balls, and through lobs, always, just always on point.

Pace, play him CAM (I haven't even tried CM, because now I just won't after seeing how he is at CAM).

His speed and reactions, will keep surprising you more and more every game. I mean, I had thought the people writing to play him at ST were idiots. But I can definitely see they were serious. Though ill stick to him at CAM.

Long Shots

Need I say more? The non finesse power ones are very very good too, definitely better than KDB for me. I do play him with Hunter.

Inside the box, he has scored plenty, with his left foot as well. His positioning and movement is key I think here too, he just makes himself available every time an attack is being built up.

Short quick pass to get out of a defender charge, Pirlo is there to pick up.

Quick one two, Pirlo got you.

He follows through till the attack ends each time.

I am not even going to comment on the PHY aspect, I actually have really not even noticed anything because, there is just waaaaaayyyy to much magic happening with him.
