Adama - much more than 'The Baby Oil Merchant'
ByYNWAkraut15-12-2021

What can you expect from this version of Adama? I had asked myself the same question and since I had not yet found the perfect Prem winger for my team, I absolutely had to test Traore.

Is he really so one-dimensional? Yes and no. On the one hand, Traore is of course a player who has this strong physical appearance. That can lead to always trying the same moves and letting him degenerate into a one-trick pony. He is quick as an arrow, strong and tough to separate get off ball.

However, he can do much more than that: his passing and crosses are excellent and set up my Robbie Keane perfectly. Especially when you score most of your goals with your centre-forward, this version of Adama is a strong addition e.g. in a front three formation.

His shot stats can be boosted to a completely fine level via Chem Style. Due to the high shot power, he also scored a few goals with his weak foot for me, plus the goalkeeper can also be easily dribbled around due to the high agility. Shots from narrow angles work great if you've figured out how to use Adama's shooting. Of course, if you mainly pull inside to take finesse shots, Adama is not for you.

Can Adama overcome the template defences in FUT Champs?

Yes and no: Which player can do that regularly? The most annoying thing about FIFA22 is the ever-present defence consisting of Mendy, Kimpembe, Marquinhos and Hakimi. So far, I haven't played a player who can take these guys out on a regular basis. They are far too overpowered for that. With Adama, I manage to win enough champs games compared to my skill level. It's always nice to make template defences rage quit and this happens very often now.

I always play a pure Prem team and so far I haven't found a winger that suits my purposes better than Adama. But you have to learn how to deal with him. Adama can do much more than just pacing down the line. If you have internalised that, then he is unpredictable and strongly superior due to his physical attributes.

a literal monster
Probably the best striker ive used this year. He literally eats the opposing defenders for breakfast without tearing a sweat. I've never used a card that literally bullies the defenders like this. He is so strong and on top of it he is one of the best dribblers, he speeds past defenders and bodies the ones that get in his way. The shooting is just broken, he doesnt have traits but he doesnt need them. This is a great alternat...

GOAT Super Sub
okay so I used adama as a super sub. The team doesn't have him but at the 75th minute mark I switch him with one of my wingers (usually whoever's lower stamina by then) but I'd prefer to use Adama on the right. Now this card is actually really good at two things and those two things work the best against opponents that chase the game. So if you're up by 1 or so around that time I highly recommend using him.
