A lot of 100k cards are not worth it, and this card will become outdated in a few months no doubt - however there’s something deeply satisfying about all De Jong cards, they play so like the real life player - and he’s definitely worth the coins.

I’m currently Div 3 rank 2 working my way up. I play him mostly as a CM in a three man midfield with Renato in the middle holding and Llorente on the other side. De Jong is better than Llorente, but less versatile and not as good in front of goal. 

He’s so good on the ball, he’s not the most agile but something about his body type feels amazing. He’s always stronger than you think, and better at areas he shouldn’t be. His shooting stats are poor but he’s bagged a few key goals for me this year.

Those H/M work rates are a change from 21 and as a result I like him more as a CM than a CDM, though he can do both. With passing so crucial on this current pre-patch version of the game, he’s hugely effective even in the final third. His passing is phenomenal, switching play, extra pass inside the box, raking through ball - he does it all. 

His attacking AI is excellent and he pops up in spaces all over the place. He gets about defensively too and would probably be great at CDM, I just want him on the ball further up the pitch, plus he maybe lacks the aggression of other cards for a pure CDM. 

Anyway - he’s just so fun to play with - and that’s more important than any of his stats.
