Player Review

It's that time of the year again. We spent all that time building the best squad possible for FIFA 21 just to start over the next year. The cycle never ends. And let's start this endless cycle by taking a look at IF Denis "The Swiss" Zakaria.

Overview

The game's only been out for a week (for early release) and I have to say, I still need to get use to the gameplay. The keepers are buffed like hell but I have no problem in midfield because of this guy. This Zakaria is a tank in midfield. He bodies people and knicks balls off opponents like nothing. He just has this presence in the midfield. He scores a couple of goals as well because of his high attacking work rate. I use him in a 442 with Bellingham (Underrated gem btw) as his partner. Really great card, especially now when he's going for 40k.

Linkability

As far as his links go, he provides good links to Akanji and Mbabu, you know the dreaded triangle. Other than that, he doesn't have enough good links to build him in a squad except if you're building a bundesliga squad. It's going to be quite difficult to build a squad around him without using Mbabu or Akanji.

Conclusion

So, is he worth the 30k price difference from his NIF ? Short answer, yes. Long answer, I've tried both and to be honest the upgrade feels really significant. The most noticable upgrade is his passing. His NIF is still great defensively but it lacks the consistent passing his IF provides. If you want a no non-sense CDM just go with his NIF and If you want a dominant CM go with his IF.
