88 - ShowDown SBC
The Ivorian himself. It's not ideal, but I thought I'll play a few games if I can, as you don't have long to complete him, and it gives people an idea if he is usable at least. Rocked this dude at rcb in Elite, floating around the 1800-1900 points range. Generally have had nothing to fault, so far I've loved him, and this is without an upgrade, which is massive with showdown cards.
The only issue is if you want this card to upgrade. Utd obviously are in fairly poor form, but Atletico are too, having dropped off massively, and are the same as Utd, struggling in must win games. You're basically relying on Ronaldo to show Simeone who's boss (again). Personally, I think its a boring 0-0 or 1-0 game, but I do believe Bailly will get upgraded.
I've been using Bailly with a Shadow (basic I know), but with him having decent enough passing an good physical, why not. I used him for 11 game, conceded a few goals but none were to errors made by Bailly, all were just goals scored by decent players, but this guys defending and physicality was not unnoticed next to flashback Varane.
Pace- Recovery pace is good, has high sprint speed so if players are forcing the over the tops to a quick striker, he will be shoulder to shoulder with them 99% of the time.
Passing- Quick passing and long passes are fine. 3* weak foot hasn't affected his passing at all. Luckily, he is composed as well, so I found I could hold off an attacker and allow myself time to pass the ball off too.
Dribbling- This might seem crazy but this is my favourite stat of his. Defending and Physical are obviously ideal but wtf, this guy turns so good with the ball, the way he reacts and for only having just under 80 agility, it feels like I'm turning with Mbappe. Been really good at turning and running with the ball, and his general dribbling with the ball is pretty solid.
Defending- Defending has been really good, noticed that his slide tackles are very consistent in not drawing fouls. I have it when ill make the most perfect slide tackle, win the ball and get penalised for it, but his tackling, AI positioning, and covering open spaces have been unreal for me.
Physical- Feels like Yaya Touré. In previous reviews I've done, I usually shame a player that has been bodied by the player I'm reviewing. I feel like he could out-strength Akinfenwa 9/10 times. Maybe his stamina could be better, but I've not seen it affect him in the later stages of a game. 90 jumping at 6'1" as well, he's not losing headers guys.
Med/High Workrates- The perfect workrates in my opinion for a CB, even more ideal than a low/high I'd say, offering higher up the pitch when it's needed, but has sat in the position I want him all game.
3*3*- Weak foot like I said has been really good, always say 3*wf always feels like a 4* minimum, and the skills is just an added bonus. You can do very effective skills with a 3* skiller, but it means you can't get lost in doing stupid/pointless skill moves if he had 4*sm.
I cannot comment on his shooting guys because he's not up for corners, nor do I shoot with him.
