Player Review
96 - UCL Live
It's hard to say that RTTF Mane is 'underrated', seeing as he still fetches a hefty 1.3m on the market at time of review. However, I have never met this card in Weekend League, so it seems like many opt for alternatives like the multiple (yawn) Mbappe cards available.
Let me tell you. These people are missing out! Mane has been incredible. His dribbling and agility, especially now he's 93 rated, are on a par with the best out there. He positions himself perfectly in attack, always ready to poach a goal if the opportunity arises. He can play in any of the attacking positions, but he is definitely wasted if you don't play him as a Striker. With a Marksman, his reactions, ball control and dribbling are all boosted to 99, giving him that super-fast, instant-shooting 'Mbappe' feel when in the box.
I'm a DIV 1/Elite player, and I change my team regularly as I like to try different cards, so I sold him to try out the new FUT Birthday Firmino up top. (I thought I needed 5*/5*) Didn't last long, and Mane was soon back in the club. Firmino felt like a freight train in comparison. Definitely more of a CM than a ST.
Yes, Mane only has 4-star skills. This could be a deal breaker for you. Yes, he only has a 4-star weak foot. You may prefer a 5-star. But his dribbling makes up for his lack of 5-star skills, and his shooting stats are so high, that you barely notice his weaker foot. Paired alongside my FUT Birthday Suarez, who is the perfect supplier, (and gives me my 5-star skills) Mane is the ultimate finisher, and the best all round attacker I have used so far this year. High praise, seeing as I've used Headliner Mbappe (boring) and Prime Eusebio (twice the price) for long spells over the last few months.
All of this, and he may still get upgraded further. Could Liverpool go on to win the Champions League? Well, if they do......
- Finishing
- Agility
- Super-fast reactions in the box
- Passing
- Body-type and height
- Goals for days
- Volleys (I'm currently trying a Finisher on him to see if it changes anything)
- Opponent (once you go 1 up with Mane, your opponent starts to start to treat him like Mbappe, and close him down constantly. However, this just opens up Suarez instead, and then they don't know who to mark!)
