Player Review
86 - Rare
Coming in to this year I was looking at a few possible options for my starter CM. Llorente was definitely not on this list because of how ridiculously expensive I expected him to be. Fortunately, I packed IF Vinicius Jr. day one and Llorente cost a lot less than I expected. I immediately bought him and made him the centerpiece of my squad. He has consistently been my best midfielder and likely best overall player. He is so versatile you could probably play him anywhere in the midfield but I love my fast CDMs so I play him there with a shadow. He is a monster intercepting the ball and consistently wins it from opposing midfielders. He gets back on defense so quickly after an attack thanks to his blistering 98 pace. The most surprising part of his game is how effective he is attacking after winning the ball. As he outspeeds virtually any player the opponent may have you can easily begin an attack through him. Running up from the back creates a mismatch as he can outspeed fullbacks down the wing and cross surprisingly well or play as a second CAM in any given situation. Although he lacks 4 star skill moves his dribbling is surprisingly quick enough and is usually sufficient to beat opposing defenders. His shooting will catch you off guard as he can easily score bangers. Finally, I do recommend shadow over any other chem style. I have tried out anchor and I was not a fan. I'm sure you could make him a more offensive CM with other chem styles but like I said earlier, I love my CDMs. Overall, a fantastic CM and one of the best early game CMs I've used in a long time.
