first of all, I bought him for 300k and have used him for about 210 games, while the rest of my team is always changing.

I've used variance in a number of different partnerships, including: kimpembe, van dijk, Marquinhos, etc. and I have to say I have had the most enjoyable time with varane and icl Marquinhos. yes, icl Marquinhos is a very expensive card, especially for a cb, but u could just get the normal version. never the less, varane is so solid at the back, his agility which seems to be low is actually rlly good. whenever he has the ball it seems like the opponents can't get it off him, and his passing has been very reliable.

I've seen a few comparisons between him and van dijk, and a lot of people say that van dijk is better but I have to disagree. I play him on 7 chem and he is still better than van dijk ever was for me. his ai defending is just unfair and his pace is amazing for a cb, he's also scored a few goals from corners for me which van dijk never did.

Honest Varane Review

Flashback Raphael Varane doesn't need any exaggerated introduction. Unless you've been under a rock since Fifa 22 was released in October 2021, you will have noticed that Varane's Gold card has been in most top Fifa player's team, and for good reason. He has all you need for a top CB. He's fast, strong and great at defending. I cant think of any recent fifa release where Varane hasn't been a top class CB for any team.

As you can expect, he is the best CB in the game. The ball gravitates towards him and he instantly boosted my gameplay to new levels. He has a hidden trait called "10km legs" in which he can extend his legs to any length up to 10km to autoblock your green timed shot into an open goal, and you may as well just leave when you see him in your opponents squad.
