Raphinha (84 INFORM)

Raphinha Inform version is an interesting card. It has many pluses but also some worrying minuses. But first of all - he certainly worth the money, 20k is nothing and even the 40k I spent on him didn't make me regret I did so. At this stage of the game he is a top 5 EPL winger.

He has a great agility, balance and ball control. His pace is solid even on hawk chemistry, even though often LB like Mendy and Davies are faster than him... But with his solid physical stats he can body them and sometimes keep running leaving the opponent at the back. What I noticed is that he's a killer from the close distance shots from bad angle - when you run along the corner line and shoot 3/2 meters away from the goal he often scores it from that hard angle no matter who's the opponents GK. Also rarely he scores outstanding long shots from 20-30 meters, using the finesse shot. However I wouldn't rely on this aspect of his game simply because there are players who do it much better.

The thing that disappointed me the most is his weak foot - while the stats say it's 4 star, it literally feels like 2 or 3 at best. In most situations he misses with the right foot, even if the pass and position is perfect. It really made me angry multiple times and I lost games because Raphinha missed big chances with his right.

Overall, he's just that solid quite guy on your team who does his job but doesn't really make anything special. He helped me to reach the elite division, and for people playing in 10th to 2nd division he'd be a perfect choice.

I use Raphinha as a RAM in a 4-2-3-1. Bought him as his card looks very good this year and the inform is an obvious improvement on that (would rather have salah but my mum won't let me have her credit card anymore). Everything about him is really really good, his pace is electric (I use catalyst), his dribbling is as good as any other option in the premier league, but the guy can't see to do anything crucial. I have so far played 11 games with him, he blazes past full-backs, but his end product is on par with Adama Traore in real life. In the 11 games he has 0 goals and 4 assists, and even on a game where finesse shots can be scored by almost anyone he seems to place them perfectly into the keepers arms everytime, in regards to in the box finishing I can't really remember him getting into the right areas without me forcing him into there. He just doesn't seem to be a natural attacker, maybe I need to try him as a striker, but I think he'd be much better suited as a wide mid in a 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2 or something.
