Remarkably and Unfortunately Average

I was surprised to see no one had left a review on this legend yet, he actually seems to have very few likes/dislikes, so maybe he's not very popular. As a Liverpool fan, and in need of a CDM/CM for FUT Champs I thought he might be a perfect counterpart to Petit. They both have High Attacking Workrates but I have Petit on Stay Back and wanted to let Gerrard go forward, I left him set to Balanced in Tactics. I put a Shadow on him just to try and keep him balanced and buff his pace enough to keep up with the meta. He feels faster and more agile than Petit but not by much, his dribbling still suffered immensely for a CM and I find it very difficult to take more than a few touches with him. His passing is fine, but I didn't notice anything particularly special about it. Overall he was just very underwhelming and felt like he disappeared regularly throughout my games. He defends fairly well, but even then can be a bit too slow to keep up with some of the attackers, and even with a Shadow just doesn't tackle consistently enough for my liking. I think he's usable, but probably not worth the coin for what other options you could find out there. He's certainly better on the attack than someone like Petit, but I still find it difficult to bang in a clutch 30 yard goal with him like he did in his prime, and realistically thats all you want from a 500k+ Gerrard card, so ultimately he just really feels like a let down. Maybe he would be better utilized as a CAM, or strictly a CDM set to Stay Back and on the edge of the box, I haven't tried him in either style as I'm feeling quite ready to sell him off.
