Italian Bomber

Hi guys, I wanted to take a minute to review this mid Vieri, the review is totally honest and I won't be saying bullsh*t to misinform you so don't worry.

I bought this guy for 71k, needed basically a linker to put in the middle of my formation, preferably a striker, so went for Vieri as he was cheap and exactly the type of a target man bully I needed, plus I'm an Inter fan so getting an Inter legend is always convenient. I was debating whether to get this version or the prime, but I thought that the IG stats aren't much different, while the difference in price is very big. I tried him out in FUT Champs qualifiers and it turned out to be a very good decision. I used Vieri as a LS (catalyst chem style) in a 3-5-2 with Lewandowski IF as a strike partner, and Aouar WW as a CAM just behind them. Let me tell you how Christian Vieri played:

Pace: 8/10

With catalyst, pace is not a problem. Vieri is super-stocky so with the pace he has with that chem style, when he starts running, he will destroy any living soul in front of him. Acceleration isn't awesome, of course, best to just let him sprint and make a through pass to get him going.

Shooting: 11/10

Absolute central point of the card. EVERYTHING GOES IN. His left foot is better than Messi's. If you don't score with him in the penalty box (bar the autoblocks) you should demand a refund from EA cause your game copy is not working properly. Christian Vieri is one of the most clinical finishers in this whole game. In addition, his headers are superb, and the finesse shot trait makes his finesses go in from very hard angles as well. Needless to add that the shot power is net-breaking.

Passing: 6/10

Vieri's passing is the biggest con of the card, no doubt. I put the catalyst chem style on him to complement that (engine probably would be my first choice, but the agility and balance are so bad I thought there is no point trying to improve that anyways) and it wasn't very bad, but it's best to leave him in the penalty box and just deliver the ball to him for a direct shot.

Dribbling: 7/10

As mentioned before, agility and balance are trash, but in other news the sky is blue. However (!) it really isn't a problem, because the rest of the dribbling stats are quite good and you can feel that in-game. No 4* skills unfortunately but when you get him going, a mid-run simple dribble will work most of the time. But don't expect the Vini Jr. no-spine-dribbler kind of player. He will do the job, but it's better to just play him as a target man.

Defending: -/-

Physical: 10/10

2nd best thing about Vieri after shooting. The man hits the gym big time. Pushes off almost every defender, no questions asked. His jumping is alright for the headers, so on corners he will work in almost all cases. When it comes to aggression the 76 is fake, I'm a player who is quite successful at tackling and high pressing, and Vieri was my main man for taking the ball high up the pitch, just don't try to take the ball first time, wait for your opponent's move (due to low agility).

In summary, I really recommend Vieri if you need a target man with insane shooting, and have a more agile player next to him + someone who has great crossing. For 70k it's a good trade because you get someone who can help with the links and do the job in offense.
