Virgil Van Dijk. A card I was lucky enough to pack in my untradeable 50k pack from the bronze and silver objectives, which I recommend you complete. although 66 acceleration is not ideal, once he gets going he can pretty much catch up to anyone with his 88 sprint speed. his passing is second to none. switches and lb+y with big Virgil is a cheat code. his weak foot isn't too bad but I wouldn't rely on it all the time. as long as you have a partnering CB who is more mobile you'll find conceding is a rare occasion. from corners, as long as he's in front of his man you've got a goal. his unique body type really compliments his stats. I like moving the ball up with my CBs and when he's on the ball moving into midfield he rarely misplaces the pass or gives it away. Now onto defending. as long as your decent at defending on this game I can't see you having any complaints. his 6'4 from allows him to dangle a leg and get the ball 9/10 with the odd occasion of EA aids.

This man is the GOAT in my defense. I was lucky enough to pack him in my prime gaming pack and have played 96 games with him by now. First I was a bit concerned about his pace (sad enough), when opponents using meta CB's with 85 pace all time. But now I'm just overwhelmed how good VVD is. He is a very aggressive CB, who puts lots of pressure on strikers getting the ball from a midfielder. But these tacklings are just great because he literally eats strikers and let them no chance to even turn around.
In some cases his lack of acceleration is a little bit of a downside but there are very few situations, in which he can not make this up by his great defending and positioning.
Otherwise I haven't found any other weaknesses in VVD's playstyle so obviously I recommend buying this machine. Even for 114k (by now).he has a great value.

Lemme tell you, i could afford any defender i want, but this man will never leave my defense. Packed him untradebale in week 2, have played 563 games with him and he is just pure class.
At the current stage of the game, he has to give it all against the likes of TOTY Mbappe and Flashback Neymar, but its just like he plays every game like his 18/19 season, in which not one single player could dribble past him.
Couldn't ask for more defensively, this man is a brickwall and wins every duel on ground AND in the air. Holy Moly he scored 45 times in all these games, of course goals after corners. Power Header trait gets the deal done, in my opinion there is no player more effective after corners than this guy (and maybe Zlatan). He even scores them from 16 meters out if your opponent moves his goalie out.
He can catch up with the fastest players due to his 98 sprint speed, but that isn't necessary most of the time, as he just smahes them into the ground as soon as they get near him.
I would like to upgrade to the Headliner Card, but i gotta say i don't think it will be worth it, since this card is just soo good.
