Lack of pace doesn't impact this card

In previous FIFAs a card like this has been next to useless due to a lack of pace. However, as I currently write this, pace isn't the most important aspect of this year's FIFA.

Firstly, put a Shadow chem style on him and his pace is more than okay. That's because Laporte's positioning is next level. He always seems to be in the right place and clinical in the challenge. Quite often he's got 'Man of the Match' in my games, just due to the amount of attacks he breaks up.

With Shadow his tackling stats are almost maxed out and you can feel that in game. Having used some of the lower rated, but quicker card (such as St Juste or Lacroix) they lacked the ability to clearly win the ball back or position themselves so they didn't have to use their pace.

Laporte has a calmness about his play and I would take him over either of those cards. I am currently pairing him with John Stones. Maybe the Green link has an added bonus.

Given he's currently under 10k, I'd say sell the previous 'meta' type cards and use this guy instead. You're coin balance will be better and your defence will be much improved. He even chips in with the odd goal from corners.

No real negatives as you don't notice the lack of pace.
