Let's face it, last year's Paul Pogba base card was a dead duck. He wasn't really used in anyone's team, even at the start of the game.

That is not the case this year. Given the current meta, where passing and strength is king in midfield, Pogba shines. I use him as a central CM with an Engine chem card in a 4-2-3-1, alongside Partey and they dominate the midfield. Pogba wins headers, intercepts anything which attempts to break the lines and bullies anybody off the ball.

When it comes to attacking, his passing is superb. He can do the simple stuff in the middle of the park well, but also can easily find a pin point pass into the attackers. In terms of shooting, if given space, Pogba is deadly from long range. I scored a worldie with him yesterday. If your opponent decides to back off, just hit it within 35 yards and you're in with a good chance!

The only down side is sometimes you have to move him manually defensively as his medium work rate just takes the shine off what would be a perfect all round card.

Steadily increasing in price now as people are realising he's not last year's card.

So i packed this guy untradable (otherwise he would have been long gone). And after 200+ plus games with him i cant reccomend this card to anyone even for 30k or so.

I played him as a CDM in a narrow 4231 first. And this guys workrates feel like low/low. he just stands there being static not marking anyone or making any runs to open op passinglines.

Unless you are the one controlling he'll do nothing for you. So i thought maybe it is because of low def stats so i switched to a 442 and played him as a CM. Now this guy doesn't come back at all to defend, like ever. And on attacking moves all he will do is slow your attacks down. With horrible touches, 0 acceleration and no dribble. He feels super sluggish and falls over all the time. You cant get past defenders with him so all you can do is do short passes with him. Try to play around him and avoid having pogba on the ball. He wont get into attacking positions since he makes no runs. He just stand static in the middle of the field and waits for a pass or smth. The only thing this card does well is push players off the ball, when they cant just run past you with their pace. If your thinking about using this card, dont. Save yourself the frustating touches and slow reactions.

So Pogba, he has a weird card every year in my opinion. his stats arent to good but i still want to try him every year.

And this year he is really really decent. I feel like passing is so important in fifa 22 and pogba never misses a pass, honestly every pass i perfect. also his physical appearance, he has no problem to play the ball under pressure or to keep the ball under pressure. i play him as a cm and especially when attacking he is super slow, thats the biggest problem i have with him.

Pace 5/10

As i said he feels really slow. but thats not a big problem overall.

Dribbling 9/10

He is super good in keeping the ball, his dribbling is amazing he goes through the defense like nothing. i love his dribbling.

Shooting 10/10

Longshots, finishing is amazing. his finesses outside the box are unfair. his volleys as well, nearly every time a goal.

Defending 7/10

His defending is average, he's good as a cdm, but i prefer to play him as a cm, sometimes his defending is weird and sometimes amazing. overall good defending im my opinion.

Passing 10/10

It doesnt matter how hard a pass is, pogba is gonna make it happen. Long passing, short passing amazing.

Physical 9/10

nearly perfect, a little bit more aggression would be great.

Overall a well rounded card, i like him but im not sure if hes worth 100k+
