Gini has been by far one of the best midfielders I've used this year. I don't understand how he's so cheap! This current price is an absolute steal! His dribbling is what stood out to me, by far better than other midfielders I've tried who have felt like a truck. Will be buying his otw for sure!

So let me explain the title: you have to know why you want to use him. Forget about chemistry, forget about the players you need to link. Think about what you need in a CM.

The formation I use is 5-2-1-2, and sometimes I switch to 4-1-2-1-2. So in both cases he plays in the same position, although with different roles. Anyway, he's a B2B CM that needs to be complete, in other words, he needs to be able to defend, control and attack. And let me tell you: he doesn't let me down.

• His dribbling stats do not lie. Very good agility, he can turn and change directions really fast and not feel clunky at all. Good ball control. 9/10.
• Although defending isn't my main worry when we talk about CMs, I gotta say that he surprised me. I didn't expect a lot by his 79 DEF stats, but often he would be able to get the ball back for my team. That's enough for me, I guess. Maybe use Shadow if you're more concerned about it. 8/10 (due to expectations).
• Offensively, he sometimes gets into the box and scores goals (as you can see in the record). Not really his best strength, but a little bit better than I expected. Of course pretty much all the goals were scored inside the box and in clear situations, I don't really see the point of trying to score longshots or to force finishes when you don't really have a chance of scoring. Be smart. 8/10 (due to expectations).
• About his pace, it was way better than I expected. He goes to 87 with the Catalyst boost, and I would say that it feels... 87. So he's fast. Able to make offensive runs and help with defensive transitions. He obviously isn't a speedster, but fast enough to not compromise anything. 9/10.
• His passing is good. Now, I am very harsh in the judgement because I like to have good passers in the midfield. He's not as great as my other CM (RB Nkunku), but he does the job. 8,5/10 (I think 9 would be too high).
• Not really the most physical player, but that's not a big part of my game, so I don't really care about it at all. 7/10 for a standard score.

If you look for the same things that I do when searching for a CM, I'd recommend him. He does the job and is one of my favorite CMs in the whole game. For my gamestyle, I would say he's better than De Jong, Llorente, Pogba, Goretzka, IF Tonali, Sabitzer and some other players I've used this year.

The only reason I don't rate him 5 stars is because he obviously isn't a game changer and is not a the same level as crazy meta cards like RB Nkunku. So if you don't have 250k to spend on a CM, I'd say he's a safe bet. Easily one of the best values for cards in the game (well, you can't really go wrong with 3k).
