Maestro Kimpembe

It is early days on this game, and probably before EA inevitably ruin the game by patching the hell out of it, but this card has been THE stand out card of all of EA Play for me. His ability to win the ball back, jockey, mark with his defensive positioning and unleash a crunch tackle are phenomenal. Currently I'm playing him with Marquinhos, Atal and Spinazzola in a back 4 and this card is hands down been the most important card early on. Marquinhos is good. Very good in fact, especially for the cheap price he is going for. But he isn't as good as Kimpembe and Kimpember is half that cheap price.

Let's start with the key. 90 Aggression. So many people picking cards like Akanji and slapping a shadow on him with his 74 aggression thinking they're clever, only to find that for some reason the tackles are no good. This Kimpembe is taking the ball, taking your opponent's house, car, wife, money. Whatever he wants.

92 Defending with Shadow with interceptions, slide and stand tackle well in the 90s. Yeah, basically if this guy wants the ball, he's getting it. Jockeying with this guy as well feels really nice.

Pace, decent dribbling and 4 star WF. All these things combine to help him get the ball back, cover effectively and start your counter attacks well.

Price. At the time of writing he is less than 30k. That price is criminal. Hell, it might well go down on Monday with the FIFA Point deluge. 30k for an incredibly meta CB this year with very good links, is pretty insane.

6 ft 2. Decent height for a CB which helps with defending corners and his frame is useful for the AI blocks, jockeying blocks and 50/50s

This year the defending and physical stats matter so so so much more, along with the usual pace and height. THIS IS THE QUINTESSENTIAL META CB THIS YEAR.

He is not 8 foot tall.

He does not have 99 Pace or 99 Physical

He is not 5 star 5 star

With 31 finishing, I doubt he will score many hat-tricks

Okay, okay....there aren't many cons with this Kimpembe at this stage of the game. Is he as good as Varane? Probably not. But you are going to really struggle to get a better CB than this for less than Varane. Eder Militao is probably similar in quality, but this Kimpembe has that Aggression. And you will notice it in game.

Short review, because for a 40k CB you can't ask more.

Green link with Marq hakimi and donnarumma, orange with all the franch...

pace, strenght and good defence, perfet with Shadow on him.

is super solid, is not technical like marquinhos or ramos, is better if you use Kimpe with a more technical defence for build up the game...

he is very tall so very good in corners

He's amazing bro, super quick and somehow is everywhere on defense, quite good on the ball too.

Bought him for 40k last week and he delivered
