I love to do these low requirement SBCs, where you can receive fun cards and this card is one of them.
I only play in Division 4, because I'm not able to play that much, but for that division, this card is more than enough, even without upgrades.
Ingame, I switch to a 4-3-2-1 and let Diaby play as a right CF, next to Malen (ST) and Walcott (LCF). Diaby is very fast and good on the ball, but he lacks in finishing, so it would be nice if he get 1-2 upgrades at all, but even without the upgrades, I really like this card.
The main probs of Diaby are his low strength and his precision in front of goal, but if you know that, you can avoid duels against defenders and shoot only, when the goal is nearly save.
In sum, I really liked that card, like I said many times before and for that price, its more than okay, specially when you run a more fun squad like me and don't focus much on meta or stuff.
- fast and agile with the ball
- nice dribbling (R1/RB)
- can create space for other attackers with his nice acceleration
- his strength
- not so good at finishing + only 3 star weak foot
Goaded again by the comment section on this site, I find myself reviewing another super underrated SBC for the general player. This time, we're looking at the RTTF Event Moussa Diaby.
Since his Fifa 22 TOTS Revision, Diaby has been one of my favorite cards to use. I used it super early in the year with some nice results, eventually being convinced by the superior Dembele 85. But now, with this SBC...It just felt right to go back to my roots. And gladly, this card does not disappoint.
I. The Stats
Wow, this card is almost perfect for me. Blazing speed, coupled with slick dribbling makes for a great start, even with a 3* WF and 4* Skill Moves. With Deadeye, Diaby gets a respectable 97 Positioning, 98 Finishing and 97 Shot power too!. Composure could be a bit higher, but that's his main issue. Even long shots felt way better than a 76 - ironically, I feel like lower Long shot stats are better than higher ones for me. Unfortunately on the negative side, this card lacks a bit on long passing and crossing, so getting the balls in high with his weak foot from the right side is supposed to feel weird, but... It Kinda did not! Got a few nice crosses on Mané and as always, that card delivered for me. Also 92 Stamina in a Fast Dribbler is great!
Weak points are the obv low Aggression and Strength.
II. The Team and Position
Diaby can be played on either wing, though I prefer him on the right one. His Dribbling and passing will shine more on the left I believe, but on the right wing he did everything I asked him to. In a 4-4-2, he's paired with a very deep standing Xabi Alonso TOTY, and WC Eto'o as the right striker. In most games, the defensive stability of Alonso enabled Diaby to run and run and run. Definitely put your RB into a defensive mindset too - Diaby is not suited for defense.
III. Behavior and Upgrade
Having played this card before and after the upgrade, I am astonished how much better he feels already after a +1 Upgrade. While he was serviceable at 88, he may just be one of my most effective players on the pitch - and that with Eto'o and TOTY Benzema! Ordering him to get into the box and be a target at the post, Diaby has scored surprisingly often, or provided assists that I didn't think I could pull off. Especially his longshots are a mention for me, I sunk like 5 goals in 6 games in with a shot from outside the box! You will have to adjust his mindset a bit so he does actually come back and assist defensively, but that's a small cost. Apropos small cost... With the pull Bayer Leverkusen got in the UEL, he might actually go to 90 as well, and I fear for my enemies if that actually happens.
IV. The SBC
Do it. It's cheap AF for such a player.
V. Conclusion
On paper, another fast 4/3 does not sound exciting, especially a Bundesliga one, which will be more work to fit in for a lot of players. Being French helps a lot, and his performance completely wowed me, not unlike my Kroos 91 Review. This card is definitely a get after the Upgrade.
- Diaby go brrrr
- reliable Dribbling and Shooting
- Upgradeable
- okay Crosses
- 92 Stamina Runner
- Unsure if it upgrades further
- Composure could be higher
- 3* WF
- Diaby not a Strong Boy
