Player Review

Since it was a small upgrade from his WC Phenom SBC and since this card is still on the market and his SBC is expired, I will write the review here.

This guy is solid if you play with a wingback. He is very fast, very agile, has a fairly good pass and a good cross.

His attacking runs are spot on, you can always pass that ball to the right side because he will be there, always.

His biggest flaw would be his scoring abilities. He definitely scores a goal or two when he is wide open (even headers), but he is not a clinical finisher, which can be a bit of a letdown if you play (like me) in a 5-2-1-2 or 3-5-2 formation, where the backs/wingers are very offensively driven. I would opt for Kuyt in that spot, which I did.

So now I am scooting Frimpong around a bit. He plays very well as a right CB in a 3-CB defense. Very quick to run down fast attackers, good defending abilities, not very strong or tall, but like a little Pitbull he is just always there. The type of player that you have to pass 3 or 4 times before you actually get rid of him.

So I decided to try him out as a CDM, which was a great success. Like Edgar Davids in his good old days, a Kante-like play style, he just runs up and down that midfield with a knife between his teeth. Always looking for interceptions and always aggressive on his marker. With his pace and agility, when you have to switch from offense to defense, just select him and start running down the man with the ball. annoy him until the rest of your players get back into their own positions and you have time to defend the way you always do.

And with his work rates, he will also join the attack quite often. Don't get him in front of the goal too often, but his passing is good enough to feed your attack.

All in all, a very pleasant, versatile player and with his base stats also a great defensive super-sub.
