Player Review
91 - World Cup Hero
Over the 575 games I've play with Forlan, he's returned with 496 goals and 295 assists. I played Forlan in both Squad battles at Legendary difficulty and in Rivals, playing between Divisions 10-3(ranking up relatively late in the game lol). I would suggest Forlan to casual players, but competitively he not worthy (Agility, balance, Sprint Type being Controlled).
I got Forlan during the World Cup Hero promo in a small pack. I was hyped as it was my first big pull since TOTS Aguero in FIFA 19 who fortunately was tradable unlike my Forlan. My first initial thoughts of Forlan was he was great. Amazing Pace, Shooting and Dribbling. However the more I played him, the more he slightly fell down on the power curve (new promo cards coming out matching or just feeling better)... he felt bad. Over the 575 games I played with him I realized myself that I preferred other cards such gold Salah, WC Baggio, WC Di Maria. His pace on a controlled feels sluggish and he turns very sluggishly. I feel above all the players I've play, Forlan tends to control the ball on the first touch poorly. He seemingly lets the ball loose in front of him far to much. None the less his shooting always stayed top notch regardless of his other stats feel fraud. I currently still play Forlan in my starting squad in a 4321 as the CM who pushes up with the attack with the other 4 attackers. I feel this best complements his High/High work rates very well.
My stats I would give Forlan on how he fells would be:
86 PAC 86 DRI <<--- ACC: 84 SPRINT SPD: 90
96 SHO 58 DEF
84 PAS 82 PHY
Overall: He's an ok card. I wouldn't ever spend the 600K PS/XB - 700k PC price tag at the moment. I feel more accurately he feels around the 250K-400K price tag. In the end if he's an emotional player for you, or just want to try his card, give him a go. In the end have fun with the players you feel you want to try most.
