88 - OTW SBC
Sterling OTW sbc had been long awaited by the community, many thought and hoped that EA wouldn't overprice him similar to other sbc's but in the end became quite affordable. I myself had already been using Sterling's base gold card, he was ripping it up on the wings against defenders and I really enjoyed him. Once I completed his OTW sbc I changed my team around from 4-2-3-1 to now my 4-1-2-1-2 narrow, this meant that there was no wing positions for sterling to play. I had enough confidence that he would perform well in my creative CAM role. In 12 games he bagged 7 goals and 12 assists, Crazy right! his overlapping runs were key in creating another outlet forward as well as receiving in the spaces and playing killer passes to the ST's. He was my favourite player in that team and influenced every single play.
- Pace for overlapping runs
- Elite level dribbling within tight, constricted areas
- Great passing ability long and short distances
- Price at 150k bargain
- Felt quite weak at certain times
- Shooting could sometimes be weak and miss easy chances
- 3 Star weak foot messed up passes and shots occasionally
It's been some time since this card came out, but after 50 games I'll give my feedback. I play in a 4-3-3 with him on the right wing. Within the first 5 games he just wasn't it. I then tried several chemistry styles and came to the conclusion that finisher works best. And after 50 games I can only say that his runs are insane, same goes for his dribbles. About the price, for 150k it was a bargain especially incase england wins a game. But of course there are some bad things about him, mainly his strength and weak foot.
