I´m saving all my "good" packs for toty, so I was really surprised when he hopped out of a 2x80+ Players pack from some objective.

I benched baby Vieira to try him and he hasn´t left my starting 11 since.

The main thing you can say about him is, you get exactly what you would expect when looking at his stats.

With a shadow he is super quick, great dribbling and passing, solid defending just lacks the size and strenght when you compare him to the likes of Vieira/Gullit/Yaya etc.

If you play him alongside a bigger playertype in your midfiled (I´m using PTG Milinkovic-Savic) he´s gonna be one of the best stay back CM/CDMs you can play.

With a 530k pricetag by the time of this review he is on the more expensive side, but seeing how he performs for me i would say he is worth the price.

Also as an italian PSG player he is fairly easy to link. 80-90% of the teams I face in Champs have Mbappe and Maldini. Those two alone with another Ligue1 player or manager and you already got him on 3 chem.

Was trying to sort out chem and was looking at a defensive mid under 600k. I found the perfect fit, he is crazy. Every year, the dives into tackle trait elevates mids and fullbacks by a lot. HIs M/H work rate is crazy. I've paired him with M/M in a 352 and 4222 setup. While he is supposed to be a defensive mid, after he wins the ball, I trigger his run and then he either makes a dribble or insane pass. It's funny cause most of my team is tall but somehow this guy shows the most presence in my team. I've tried so many defensive mids under 600k but this guy is the one, at least until late tots or possibly endgame.

I've always liked Verrati special cards and really wanted to like this card. I played about 20 games with this guy in Rivals. Div 3. His FB was one of my fav cards last year. Unfortunately, this card just is not it.

Having Verrati in midfield requires you to pair with bigger more physical players, and he cannot really play anywhere but CM or CDM IMO. Without chem boosts, his passing and ball control are elite but his defending lets him down is subpar for a CDM...so you will have to chem boost his defending.

Of course he can get open due to his dribbling, but then you have to shooting which is dreadful for a 500k midfielder, at this time of the cycle. No finesse trait and his longshots are terrible. He does have outside the foot trait for trivelas, but they are not best. Of course you can chem style him with hunter or finisher, but as I said above, at CM or CDM you'll want to upgrade his defending and strength... if you do that his pace, longshots and shooting are left out.

A fun 'gimmick' card that I would like to pack and use a late game sub or for objectives, but for me he is far to flawed to have in the starting XI.
