Player Review

So, I got him like 2 days ago. I arrived at home after a 13h trip and did the "Base Icon Player Pick" just for fun. I expected Vieri, Inzaghi and Scholes. Pelé. There he was. I started screaming (I'm 23 years old, but when it comes to this stuff, I lose my mind). It was the best player I ever packed. This guy is absolutely insane. You look at his stats and stuff and, of course, this card is amazing, but he's not particularly tall and physical (and I normally like more that type of striker). I play him in a 4-4-2 (it turns into a 4-4-1-1, since he's more of a "false 9") with Gonçalo Ramos on his side (I'm Portuguese, so I like to do those fun Liga NOS squads). 7 games, 20 goals, 8 assists. Absolute game changer. Pass him the ball and he scores from any spot. Again: insane card. I actually never noticed any weakness on him.

That being said: rest in peace, Rei Pelé, and thank you for everything you did for the beautiful game.

Started my ultimate team back week one and unfortunately was never able to afford any Pele card until now....but man was it worth the wait. Sold prime Cruyff before this past weekend league to try out this Pele card and was not disappointed. I finished with my best finals record all year at 7-13 (yes I am not the greatest FUT player) all thanks to this card. Used a 4231 custom formation where I put him at Center CAM Get Forward instruction and he was able to consistently get into perfect position either for a shot or a breakout pass that really changed the way my team played. The squad I'm rocking with is all untradeable (albeit very good cards) but the options were do I spend the rest of my coins on an SBC or do I try out a legend of the game? Well I'm sure by now you can tell what I went with. Overall any Pele card is ABSOLUTELY endgame even on the last day of July. After all of the cards I've tried this Fifa, I can say that this man is my favorite by far. (Right ahead of Prime Gullit) Maybe before EAFC24 comes out, I'll be blessed to try his higher ovr cards.
