EA have finally given Odegaard a card which reflects his passing and dribbling prowess. He's perfect in possession, allowing quick transitions upfield and his accurate passing range (from what I've seen) is the entire pitch. Much like odegaard in real life, you'll notice he always makes himself open for a pass. He also does the classic odegaard, arriving unmarked at the top of the box for a cross and his finishing does not dissapoint.
- Passing: with some of the best playstyles in the game, Odegaard is a great outlet. He always finds the right pass and gets in there with pace. His vision is exceptional, I can't remember the last time he passed to the wrong person or made a line-breaking pass that the defender could get to. I highly recommend using driven passes and grounded through balls. Let Odegaard find the passing lane.
- Dribbling: Odegaard is comfortable getting the ball at his feet with a defender on his back. He's quick to trap the ball and transition into an attack. He changes direction on a dime, so an effective attacking strategy is simply to position his body towards the 'obvious pass' then quickly cut in the opposite direction for the real pass once defenders have committed. His vision does the rest.
- Stamina and Workrate: Martin works really hard to make himself the outlet on counters, he'll be open at the top of the box for crosses, and has the workrate to initiate an effective press
- Pace: by no means is Odegaard fast, but you'd be using him wrong to sprint dribble with him. At normal dribbling speed he turns on a dime, it's just a matter of deciding committing defenders to press. However, I wouldn't say he's exceptionally slow either, certainly viable in midfield
- Physicality: It comes as no surprise to here Odegaard is weak. You'll struggle to retain possession if your only strategy is to shield the ball. However, his dribbling is so strong you'll always have the option of a pull back or move that will create space.
