I would certainly be saying the same If I did get him, time and effort spent on this game to attain a particular item that would somehow enhance your gameplay is more rewarding when it's because of the effort/grind or money you would spend. I don't think such a mistake should reward so so so high, which is completely their fault but I believe it's better to be on the neutral side of things and just grant a worthy compensation for players who did the SBC and got him. Even fodder packs if so.
