Depends on what you need but I like a Messi kind of player in behind my two strikers - and this is like 92 or 94 Messi in my opinion. Have him on artist.

Playing him as a single cam with 2 strikers up front and artist chem. This guy is a legend in quick build up. His through passes are so clinical, and the other players seem to make better runs as well. Will have him in this position until the end.

I am playing 433 with Ballack PM as cdm, Thiago as Playmaker and Goretzka being a more offensive cm which his workrates suite perfectly for. Goretzka really is just a great allround player. Not the best CAM neither the best CDM - but if you use him right he feels like there are 12 men in your team. He will be there to defend solid as well as to score goals. If you are just looking to get a solid cdm I would probs recommend Kante shapeshifter (change in game i.e. with desailly)
