5 Skill Moves To Improve Your Gameplay

Let’s make EA FC 24 the year we all learn skill moves and stop pressing random buttons and hoping for the best.

With the following 5 new skill moves, your game will drastically improve and will give you a shot at those higher rewards in Champs.

Ball Roll Drag (4 Star Skill Move)

Ball Rolls have always been an effective Skill Move to use in game but new to EA FC 24 is the Ball Roll Drag.

This new skill move is hugely beneficial in and around the box to quickly change direction and move away from your opponent.

Make sure you’re not sprinting when completing this skill move or you won’t be able to pull it off!

How to perform the Ball Roll Drag (Assuming you're facing forwards):

• Hold LB/L1
• Flick right stick ↑ (the direction you’re running)
• Flight right stick ← (left to the direction you are running)

 

Drag Back Turn/ Depay Turn (4 Star Skill Move)

The Drag Back Turn or Depay Turn is one of the simpler skill moves on the list but is just as effective. 

It allows you to spin backwards and create space between you or your opponent to get a shot away.

Depay is the master at performing this in real life, hence the name, but it won’t take you long to master in FC 24!

How to perform the Drag Back Turn (Assuming you're facing forwards):

• Hold LT/L2
• Flick right stick ↓ (in the opposite direction you’re facing)

 

Flair Nutmeg (4 Star Skill Move)

The flair nutmeg is the one. It gives you the ability to switch into any direction and break away from the defender. 

It’s one of the easier skill moves to learn and only requires 2 inputs!

You’ll want to learn this one especially as you’ll be facing it plenty of times over this year.

How to perform the Flair Nutmeg (Assuming you're facing forwards):

• Hold LT/L2
• Flick right stick in the direction you want to exit. This skill move can be exited at any angle!

 

Flair Rainbow (5 Star Skill Move)

The Flair Rainbow is for sure one of the flashier new skill moves in EA FC and is set to just 5 star skillers for a reason. 

This skill move will flick up and bounce the ball over your opponents head and leave you in the clear.

You’ll leave the defender bamboozled with yards of space ahead of you, get learning this one it’s very satisfying to pull off!

How to perform the Flair Rainbow (Assuming you're facing forwards):

• Hold LB/L1
• Flick right stick ↓ (in the opposite direction you’re facing)
• Flick right stick ↑ (the direction you’re running)

 

Trickster Flick (Trickster PlayStyle+ Only)

A new addition to FC 24 was PlayStyles and PlayStyles+, one in particular is the Trickster.

The trickster PlayStyle+ gives certain players the ability to perform unique skill moves to give them an advantage on the pitch.

This isn’t just one to use when you’re in the mood for showboating, it is actually very effective!

How to perform the Trickster Flick (Assuming you're facing forwards):

• Hold LT/L2
• Press in the right stick
• Move left stick ↑ (the direction you’re running)
