FC 24 Team of The Week 28 Predictions

International breaks often result in huge IF’s and while we are missing the elite few, there are still several to get excited about! Whether that's Bruno’s SIF, a seven-second Wirtz strike or Hansens El Clasico performance

Kinga Szemik - GK - 73 > 85 OVR

Seven saves and clean sheet  /  Le Havre (W) 0 - Reims (W) 2  /  8.5 Sofascore Rating

This position could go to anyone, and realistically, it will be difficult to predict correctly. Women goalkeepers are few and far between when it comes to promotional inclusions but there is a chance of one occuring this week. With seven saves to her name, Szemik was pivotal during Reims 2-0 away win.

Daniel Munoz - RB - 77 > 87 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Spain 0 - Colombia 1  /  8 Sofascore Rating

Friendlies will take less toll on this side in comparison to those competitive fixtures but EA have regularly shown that they are willing to include them recently. With that in mind, Munoz becomes a no-brainer. The Colombian fullback scored the only goal of the game as Colombia surprised Spain with a 1-0 away win.

Cristian Romero - CB - 82 > 87 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Argentina 3 - El Salvador 0  /  7.9 Sofascore Rating

It was a routine win for Argentina, who opted for an easier friendly in El Salvador. There was no clear-cut candidate for TOTW but with Romero scoring once and keeping a clean sheet on paper he is among the best CB options.

Konstantinos Tsimikas - LB - 77 > 87 OVR

Assist and clean sheet  /  Greece 5 - Kazakhstan 0  /  8.2 Sofascore Rating

With the vast majority of Greece’s side ruled out one way or another Tsimikas looks a strong candidate for this squad. The Liverpool defender was among the highest rated options from the match having provided an assist during a convincing win.

Denis Bouanga - LW - 78 > 86 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  LAFC 5 - Nashville 0  /  9.9 Sofascore Rating

Bouanga is usually within the goals after a convincing LAFC win and this is no exception. The Gabon international scored twice and provided an assist during the 5-0 victory, putting him in line for his second IF of the game.

Bruno Fernandes - CM - 88 > 90 OVR

Goal and assist  /  Portugal 5 - Sweden 2  /  8.5 Sofascore Rating

It seems like a distant memory since Fernandes was within the goals weekly. His performances are still there but just on a far less consistent basis. The Portuguese midfielder excelled this week however providing both a goal and an assist during a seven-goal thriller with Sweden.

Florian Wirtz - LM - 85 > 87 OVR

One goal  /  France 0 - Germany 2  /  1 Kicker Rating

Despite obtaining three POTM awards in the Bundesliga this season Wirtz is still without an IF. His first could be just around the corner after he opened the scoring in only seven seconds this weekend, putting him among the fastest International goals in history.

Amel Majri - LW - 84 > 87 OVR

Hat trick  /  Lille (W) 0 - Lyon (W) 7  /  10 Sofascore Rating

The quality difference between the top few women's sides and the rest is unfathomable. Lyon’s latest three points, a 7-0 away win over Lille, continues their unbeaten start to the season. While seeing their GD on an unbelievable +61 after just 18 matches. Majri’s recent FantasyFut card could make things awkward but with this being lower I think she makes the side.

Caroline Graham Hansen - RW - 90 > 93 OVR

Goal and assist  /  Real Madrid (W) 0 - Barcelona (W) 0  /  9.8 Sofascore

Although this is a top-of-the-table rivalry clash it was almost inevitable that Barcelona would extend their nine-point gap to twelve. That is exactly what happened, with Barcelona extending their unbeaten run. Hansen claimed the headlines claiming both a goal and an assist.

Albert Gudmundsson - ST - 74 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Israel 1 - Iceland 4  /  9.9 Sofascore Rating

It was a fantastic result for Iceland’s European hopes with a 4-1 away win over Israel during their playoff semi-final match. Gudmundsson stole the headlines after scoring three of those four goals

Roman Yaremchuk - ST - 72 > 87 OVR

Goal and assist  /  Bosnia 1 - Ukraine 2  /  8.7 Sofascore Rating

Bosnia and Ukraine was always likely to be one of the closest European Qualifiers and it didn’t disappoint. Ukraine came away as 2-1 winners with Yaremchuk’s double contribution likely being enough for his inclusion to this side.

Maria Estella Del Valle - RB - 74 > 85 OVR

Two goals, clean sheet  /  Granadilla (W) 5 - Sevilla (W) 0  /  9 Sofascore Rating

This IF could go one of two ways. Babajide received MOTM for her goal and three assists but it is Del Valle who I have opted for after scoring twice and keeping a clean sheet from RB. With a sheer lack of defensive options during an international week I don’t think you can ignore this performance while in the midfield there is a plethora of options.

Giovanni Reyna - CM - 78 > 85 OVR

One goal  /  Mexico 0 - USA 2  /  7.3 Sofascore Rating

USA lifted a third consecutive Nations League title with a 2-0 win over Mexico. Reyna, now of Forest, opened the scoring and although there is no real deserved option for this side with it being a final I expect EA to showcase the match with an IF.

David Brooks - CAM - 74 > 85 OVR

Goal and assist  /  Wales 4 - Finland 1  /  7.8 Sofascore Rating

The majority of qualifiers were decided with ease, Wales was another in that category having put four past Finland. Brooks provided both a goal and an assist to help towards that win and while his match rating was rather mediocre he is the best option from the side.

Jess Park - CM - 78 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Man City (W) 3 - Man United (W) 1  /  9.8 Sofascore Rating

It's a hotly contested title race in the Women's Super League this season with both Man City and Chelsea battling it out for the title. Both sides now sit on 43 points after 17 matches. City’s latest three points came during the Manchester Derby with Jess Park’s double being the difference between the two sides.

Budu Zivzivadze - ST - 65 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Georgia 2 - Luxembourg 0  /  8.4 Sofascore Rating

Outside of the main few selections, this was a difficult side to create. In the end, I opted for heavy preference towards competitive fixtures, the qualifiers especially. Due to this Zivzivadze becomes an attractive option having scored both Georgian goals during their 2-0 home win.

Lewis Morgan - ST - 74 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  NYRB 4 - Inter Miami 0  /  9.8 Sofascore Rating

Inter Miami saw their second loss of the season with the New York Red Bulls providing a masterclass at home. Despite the quality within the Inter Miami side, Lewis Morgan stole the show, scoring on three occasions to help secure a 4-0 win.

Oday Dabbagh - ST - 73 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Palestine 5 - Bangladesh 0  /  MOTM

A rather rogue match now which should EA spot Dabbagh will inevitably be included. The risk is that EA simply overlooks this match. Dabbagh plays his domestic football in Belgium though thus making him an option for this side. His hat trick helped Palestine to a comfortable 5-0 home win.
