It’s the final week before Ultimate TOTS which means it’s time for the last of the big leagues, Serie A. Let’s take a look back on how some of the biggest names in the team started off their Ultimate Team journey. From Italy, to Argentina and even to Scotland, here’s where the Serie A TOTS began their road to their FC 24 Team of The Season.

Theo Hernandez - FIFA 17 (66>97)

Real ones know about Theo Hernandez from his debut year. His 66 non rare silver might not look much, but later in the year he made an appearance in the Silver Community TOTS with an incredible 74 rated item. An impressive +31 jump for Theo in just 7 years where he’s now regarded as one of the best full backs in world football.

Lautaro Martinez - FIFA 18 (72>97)

Lautaro Martinez has had an Inter Milan card every year since he’s been in Ultimate Team, but his FIFA 17 version was only given to him towards the back end of the year. He started off the season in Argentina with Racing Club where he’d impress massively and earn his move to Europe. Just like Theo, he also earned a spot in Team of The Season in his debut year, getting an 87 rated card in Rest of The World TOTS.

Alessandro Bastoni - FIFA 19 (67>96)

This has been the best season of Alessandro Bastoni’s career so far and has been deservedly awarded the Serie A defender of the season. His 96 card is the first TOTS of his Ultimate Team career and is a huge +29 from his original item back in FIFA 19.

Paulo Dybala - FIFA 13 (73>96)

Paulo Dybala is an Ultimate Team fan favourite and his 96 TOTS card adds to a long list of incredible items. Arguably his most recognisable TOTS card came in FIFA 15, the 74 version whilst at Palermo and it was with them where his Ultimate Team journey started. A 73 rated rare back in FIFA 13. Another really impressive glow up.

Olivier Giroud - FIFA 12 (76>96)

He can’t help that he’s gorgeous. It’s the end of an era for Giroud in Europe as he’ll be heading to LAFC following the expiration of his Milan contract. His first Ultimate Team card was in FIFA 12 with Montpellier where his team stunned French football and won Ligue 1 before PSG started their years of dominance.

Rafael Leao - FIFA 19 (72>95)

Since his introduction to our consoles in FIFA 19 we always knew Rafa Leao was going to be a star as he earned a Future Stars card in his first year. It did take a couple of years for him to find his feet in Milan but as soon as he did, there was no sign of slowing down. Back to back 97 TOTS followed by a 95 in FC 24 prove he’s one of the greats in Serie A currently.

Lewis Ferguson - FIFA 19 (58>94)

I’m sure just like me, plenty of you were shocked to see a Scottish midfielder in the Serie A Team of The Season. He’s been one of the best midfielders in the league this year and has helped Bologna into the Champions League for the 24/25 season. It was just 5 years ago where he first made an appearance in Ultimate Team, as a 58 rated non rare lining up for Aberdeen.

Christian Pulisic - FIFA 17 (69>94)

The Lebron James of Soccer. Pulisic made his Borussia Dortmund debut aged just 17 and has since played for some of the biggest clubs in football in Chelsea and AC Milan. We all knew that Pulisic was going to be a star and it’s taken a few years but he finally looks settled in Milan. Captain America started out as a 69 non rare and even managed to bag himself 3 special cards in his debut year!

Dusan Vlahovic - FIFA 20 (60>91)

Another +31 improvement and this time for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian attacker finished as the second highest scoring striker in the league this season and has been well rewarded with that 97 Shooting stat. His first appearance in Ultimate Team was back in FIFA 20 with a 60 rated non rare card at Fiorentina.

Victor Osimhen - FIFA 18 (65>95)

After winning the league last season you’d expect Napoli to be challenging once again in 2024, but it’s quite the opposite. 9 teams in Serie A will be playing European football next season but Napoli won’t be one of them as they look to finish the season no higher than 10th! Osimhem started his Ultimate Team story in Germany with Wolfsburg where he’d line up with Mario Gomez up front!
