FC 24 FUTTIES: News, Rewards, Card Design, Players and more!

Futties is coming this Friday and we’ve already been treated to a bunch of new cards via the season pass, but that’s just the start! Futties is the end of year promo that has been running since way back in FIFA 15. 

Usually Futties means it’s 85x10 season, but maybe this is the year we’ll see even bigger repeatable packs…

What Is Futties

Futties is the promo that tends to cap off a FIFA game but we are seeing it a little earlier than usual. Plenty of repeatable packs, returning favourites and lots of SBC’s to bring FC24 to a close. FIFA 23 Futties began with a 96 Premium Futties Heung Min Son as the first player SBC!

What Cards Are In Packs?

Before FIFA 23 no new cards were added into packs and instead we had batches of ‘best of’. Our favourite cards from each promo throughout the year that were added back into packs. Presumably as a result of the power curve being much stronger towards the end of FIFA 23, Futties cards were also released into packs. 

SIX teams of Futties cards were released to cap off FIFA 23, and we can expect the same amount this year, with the season ending in 6 weeks time. 

Best of cards should still be released into packs alongside the Futties teams, meaning we could have the likes of 99 Messi, 99 Pedri and 99 van Dijk all back in packs by the end of Futties! 

Loading Screen and Card Design

In a year where I’ve been full of praise for the design team, it’s a bit of a let down for these Futties cards. They’re just a bit boring… The loading screen doesn’t give too much away as we already knew about the card designs from the Season Pass, hopefully we see some player teasers tonight!

Do We Get Any Special SBC’s?

Futties cards will be coming as SBC’s but that’s not all. We will be getting pack SBC’s which will hopefully include some repeatable upgrade packs (85x20s, 86x10s etc). In years previous, the 85x10 pack was available for just an 87 rated squad and allowed players to finally access the super cards they may have missed out on earlier in the year. 

As the transfer window will be well underway throughout the promo, we’ll also be getting player moment cards at their new clubs. Last year we had a 99 Bellingham 99 Kane via SBCs, 98 Kim Min Jae via Objectives and many more!

In the early years of Futties, SBCs were decided on a player vote, but last year EA decided to switch things up and decide some players via a community vote on Instagram. You’d choose which stat you value more, the highest vote would be rewarded with a card juiced up in that particular stat.  

FUT Champions Rewards Update

FUT Champions Rewards have been updated to now include Festival of Football cards in picks and packs. Standard packs stayed the same but we will see a change in red picks and TOTS packs. 94+ TOTS Packs and Picks will be replaced with 95+ MYM/PTG/TOTT Player Picks instead.
