Best FC 25 Starter Players

The FUTBIN FC 25 Database is growing day by day, and we’re already building those starter teams! We’ve got more than 300 players in our database with a ton of exciting cards to get stuck into. Viktor Gyokeres - 84 OVR

This is the one. 90 Pace, 91 Physical and 83 Shooting on an 84 rated card is unheard of and we’re expecting to face this card in 90% of games in September… Hopefully with his Nation and League not being top tier, he’ll be cheap enough for us to pick up early on!

Artem Dovbyk - 84 OVR

A +14 for Dovbyk after an incredible season earns himself a spot in our Best FC 25 Starter Cards. He may not be as good as Gyok but that might mean he’s more of a budget option. We’ll wait for Skill Moves and Weak Foot news to drop too

Yui Hasegawa - 84 OVR

The Japanese magician may only be 5 ft 1, but size does not matter. She should have been higher rated but let’s not dwell on that. The 86 Dribbling combined with 84 Passing and high enough Pace create an incredible Box to Box midfielder!

Manu Akanji - 84 OVR

Sticking with 84 rated Manchester City players and we’ve gone with Manu Akanji. Both him and Aka have received some tidy upgrades for FC 25 but we’ve opted with the Swiss man. High pace, incredible defending and physical make for a really solid defender and one that will be tough to beat early on.

Ingrid Engen - 84 OVR

Real ones remember Ingrid Engen’s Foundations card from Season 1 of FC 25, it was crazy good and was a huge help in those first months, well she’s back and back with a bang. She may only be 84 rated but has been given Intercept+ alongside 86 Defending, we’re big fans of this card and will definitely be using it!

Sandy Baltimore - 84 OVR

Sticking with Season 1 Foundation cards, next in our list is new Chelsea signing Sandy Baltimore. Her shooting may be a little low at 72 but it’s nothing a Chemistry Style can’t fix. She has decent enough defending as a winger which leads us to believe she’s a great option for a 3-5-2. 

Moussa Diaby - 83 OVR

Moussa Diaby, accepted Saudi money, won’t play for AVFC, Moussa Diaby. He may have left the Premier League but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten him. He may have been downgraded, but the big hit was with Physical and actually gained +2 shooting!

Destiny Udogie - 82 OVR

We had a choice between two Spurs defenders, Udogie and Van de Ven. We opted for the Italian as we think Van de Ven might end up too expensive to be included in a starter team. Udogie will still be a tad costly but looks like a great addition to early teams!

Inaki and Nico Williams - 82 and 85 OVR

It’s only right that we include them as a pair. The Williams brothers are FC 25s most anticipated Dynamic Duo and although we think Nico will be quite expensive, we just couldn’t leave out the combination of the two. A massive +6 for Nico Williams after he impressed in both La Liga and on the European Stage in 2024.

Karim Adeyemi - 79 OVR

Karim The Dream Adeyemi is taking us back to the days of non rare gold teams dominating Ultimate Team. We can’t imagine he’ll have as big of a cultural impact as Eder or Draxler but he does look a great option. Quick Step+ with 96 Pace means no one is catching this card.
