The first promo of FC25 is coming this Friday (27th September) and will deliver the first live cards of the year. Here’s everything you need to know about Road to the Knockouts.
What is Road to the Knockouts?
We first saw RTTK in FIFA 22 and was brought in as an extension to the Road to the Final event. With the inclusion of female players into Ultimate Team, from FC 24 the UWCL has also been included. The promo will focus on these 4 European Competitions:
- UEFA Champions League
- UEFA Women’s Champions League
- UEFA Europa League
- UEFA Europa Conference League
Several players from teams competing in these competitions are released into packs with upgraded items that can upgrade further should their team progress to the knockout stages of their relevant competition.
It’s a new tournament format this season, which looks to have made some of the upgrade paths even tougher!
Road to the Knockout Release Date
Road to the Knockouts starts this upcoming Friday (27th September) but we’re unsure whether it’ll be a 1 or 2 week promo.
How do Road to the Knockout Cards Upgrade?
With the new tournament format there has been some change to the usual upgrade path. UWCL should stay the same as last year with their format still being a traditional Group Stage, with all other tournaments following a new path.
UCL/UEL/UECL - Upgrade Path
- +1 OVR for winning 3 League Phase Matches.
- +1 OVR and + Role++ for scoring in 4 different League Phase matches.
- +1 PS+ and 1 Role++ for finishing in the Top 2 of the League Phase.
UWCL - Predicted Upgrade Path
- +1 for qualifying for the knockout stages.
- +1 for winning 2 Group Stage matches.
The UCL Upgrade Path looks a lot tougher this year, with it possible for only two teams to receive all 3 upgrades!
Road to the Knockout Loading Screen
Last night we saw the first look at RTTK cards via a brand new loading screen. So far we’ve only been shown the upgrade path and card for the UCL cards with more to come tonight…
