FC 25 95 TOTS Honourable Mentions Jeremie Frimpong Player Review - Cop or Flop

Premier League TOTS is over and I've got to say for what is usually my most looked forward to part of Team of the Season, this past week has felt relatively slow on FC25. The content just wasn’t quite it for me. But, we look onwards and the Bundesliga TOTS has just dropped with some absolute banger cards!

The SBCs for today certainly also fall into that banger bracket because we have been given a TOTS Honourable Mentions Frimpong SBC. A card I certainly did not expect to see come as an SBC but I am absolutely here for it. The last few years he has been a dominant fixture in the RB position for many players’ squad so it only seems fitting to have an elite Frimpong item drop in Ultimate Team.

From TOTY Honourable Mention to TOTS Honourable Mention, he’s had an overall boost of +4 with three playstyle pluses instead of one. A significant boost to shooting making him certainly more versatile to play in the RM/RW position should you wish to. But this card looks solid all around. Technical, Anticipate and Quick Step pluses are solid options for a wing back. So far I am a big fan of this card. He could be a potential Lala killer for me!

I have opted for the Backbone Chemstyle here to boost his Passing, Defending and Physicals but likewise a Sentinel is also a nice option here.

8 segments altogether to complete this SBC which has certainly been a step down from the previous weeks that have been 10+ each time. A price tag of just under 700k for this item. I feel this is pretty solid value considering he is likely a 1 million coin card when put on the market. But he really needs to outshine Lala to make him a worthwhile alternative in my opinion. 

How did he perform in-game?

+ The pace was simply perfect. There’s not much to say about a card with 99 pace other than he was just rapid on the ball.

+ Dribbling also really impressed. He is incredibly agile on the ball and is capable of making quick, controlled movements to maneuver around the opposition.

+ His passing was pretty spot on. Having Whipped Pass, Pinged Pass, and Longball playstyles allowed him to set up attacking play from the back.

+ Defensively, he’s solid; he doesn’t have the best strength, but this was made up for through aggressive play in the interceptions and general tackling.

- As mentioned though the strength could let him down at times as he felt quick easily forced off the ball. So you’ll need to rely more on utilising the dribbling when he’s in battles with the ball.

Frimpong - Cop or Flop?

This simply is an elite-level RB and likely one that could sit in your squad for a majority of the remainder of this game cycle. He massively impressed in-game and is very fairly priced. I will say, if you already have Lala in your squad then this is probably a potential waste of coins/ fodder. But regardless is an incredible card and one I think may replace Kenny in a lot of teams.

This SBC isn’t a must-complete due to Lala and the overall Premium pass being cheaper than the SBC but this also certainly isn’t one to avoid. If you have the fodder spare and haven’t been wow’d by TOTS so far, this may be the game changer for you.
