The Women’s European Championships starts in just two days, with Iceland and Finland kicking off the tournament at 5pm BST this Wednesday. There are plenty of Path to Glory Cards to keep track of with the first potential upgrades only three goals away. We’ll run you through each team's chance of winning, and which players you need to keep an eye on this tournament.
% chance of winning comes from Opta.
Spain - 24.5% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Salma Paraluello and Irene Paredes
Players to Watch - Vicky Lopez and Claudia Pina
With the winners of the last 4 Ballon d’Or’s in their team, and Mariona looking likely to pick up the award this year it’s clear to see why Spain are the tournament favourites. She has been included in the squad but we’re unsure how much Aitana Bonmati will feature after recently being admitted to hospital with meningitis.
Our full interest here lies with the Barcelona players. Claudia Pina has been in excellent form for Barcelona and Spain this season so we expect that to carry on into the Euros. Lopez has played limited minutes for Spain, but is an exciting talent and one that could surprise us from the bench.
England - 16.1% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Niamh Charles
Players to Watch - Jess Park and Aggie Beever-Jones
England look to retain their title from 2022 and head into the tournament as second favourites, we didn’t see any English Path to Glory cards in the team, but Niamh Charles has come via SBC.
We do have a live card for England in the form of Showdown Jess Park, she’ll likely play in the attacking midfield role for England as she has with Manchester City this season. Russo will take the main striker role, but it’s Aggie Beever-Jones who we’re looking forward to watching. Having scored her first England hat-trick in the lead up to the tournament, could she take this form into Switzerland?
Germany - 15.3% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Lea Schuller, Giulia Gwinn, Janina Minge
Players to Watch - Rebecca Knaak
Germany has three PTG players in the promo so far, with all three of these players without a special card for some months. It’s really refreshing to see some new faces in promos instead of the same cards every month! Germany were the other finalists in 2022, if they can repeat this feat in Switzerland we should have some very tasty upgrades.
Our player to watch in the German team is Manchester City’s Rebecca Knaak. There may be slight bias from me having watched her at the Joie Stadium this season, but it was her move to Manchester that resulted in a Germany debut aged 28! She’s a solid defender and loves a goal from a corner, having scored 12 in 20 for Rosengard in 2024.
France - 14.8% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Delphine Cascarino, Melvine Malard, Grace Geyoro and Griedge Mbock
Players to Watch - Selma Bacha
There are a whopping 4 Path to Glory cards from France including, for me, one of the best cheap strikers in the game, Delphine Cascarino. Her Low Driven Trivela shots were lethal and combine that with top Pace and Dribbling, it makes for a crazy card.
Our player to watch is quite boring and one you’re all familiar with, Selma Bacha. The OL Lyoness full back will look to take her incredible form into the Euros and potentially win France their first ever international trophy.
Sweden - 6% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Fridolina Rolfo
Players to Watch - Johanna Rytting Kaneryd
Ultimate Team fan favourite Fridolina Rolfo is back. She’s been given an incredible Path to Glory item which has already impressed us before any upgrades. Since winning the first ever edition of the tournament, Sweden are yet to relift the trophy.
We’ve picked out Johanna Rytting Kaneryd as the player to watch in the Sweden team after an impressive campaign with Chelsea. Her form dipped a tiny bit towards the back end of the season but we’re sure she can find it again at the EUROs
Netherlands - 5.4% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Viviane Midema and Sheride Spitse
Players to Watch - Daphne van Domselaar
Miedema and Spitse are the two choices for Path to Glory cards from the Netherlands and they’ve been handed an extremely tough group with both England and France. Realistically we can hope for a statpad session against Wales to get the goal upgrade, but probably nothing more.
Daphne van Domselaar made the Arsenal number 1 shirt her own in 2025 (not literally, she’s number 14). She replaced Zinzberger as Rene Sleeger's first choice goalkeeper and played a huge part in Arsenal winning the Champions League.
Denmark - 3.6% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Pernile Harder
Players to Watch - Daphne van Domselaar
With Germany expected to top Group C, it’s between Denmark and Sweden to fight it out for the 2nd qualification spot. Harder is one that should get the first upgrade for goals, but may be tougher to unlock any more.
With 7 goal contributions from left back last season, we’ve picked out Sara Holmgaard as one to watch for Denmark. Andree Jeglertz plays a 5 back system so Holmgaard will be utilised in an attacking wingback role.
Italy - 3.2% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - N/A
Players to Watch - Manuela Giugliano
There are no Path to Glory items from Italy so our focus is solely with the player to watch, Manuela Giugliano. The Roma midfielder scored 12 goals this season, so expect Italy’s attacking threat to come through her.
Norway - 3.2% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Guro Reiten and Frida Maanum
Players to Watch - Celine Bizet
Guro Retien is well loved in the Ultimate Team community so there were no complaints when she was announced in the Path to Glory Team. Norway, Switzerland and Iceland all have similar chances of progressing through the group so it’ll be a battle for those two qualifying spots in Group A.
Coming off the back of an impressive debut season with Manchester United, Celine Bizet is one we think you should keep an eye on, especially linking up with her team mate Terland.
Iceland - 2.1% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir
Players to Watch - Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir
We’ve picked out Path to Glory Jonsdottir as our player to watch too for Iceland. Mainly because I don’t know too much about the rest of the Iceland team, but also because she’ll be looking to impress after making the move to Angel City in May.
Switzerland - 2% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - N/A
Players to Watch - Iman Beney
With no Path to Glory items for Switzerland, we only have a player to watch. I’ve picked out 18 year old Iman Beney. She’s coming off the back of a perfect season for Young Boys, playing a key part in their first title win for 14 years and scoring the winning penalty in the Play Off Final. For Young Boys she’s played in a number of attacking positions but it’s most likely right wing back where she’ll feature for Switzerland.
Portugal - 1.4% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - N/A
Players to Watch - Kika Nazareth and Andreia Jacinto
We’re all aware of Kika’s Fantasy FC item and she’s certainly one of Portugal's key players this summer despite still recovering from an ankle injury. Real Sociedad’s Andreia Jacinto has also impressed this season and will play an important role in the Portuguese midfield.
Belgium - 0.9% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - N/A
Players to Watch - Tessa Wulleart
The Inter Milan striker may be coming towards the back end of her career now but she’s still firing in the goals for Belgium and looks to add to her tally as the countries top goal scorer.
Finland - 0.8% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Olga Ahtinen
Players to Watch - Emma Koivisto
With only two teams having worse odds this tournament it’s hard to imagine we’ll see any upgrades for Olga Ahtinen, but it’s still worth completing the objective just in case. After 2 years with Liverpool, Emma Koivisto made the switch to Milan this season and will be one of the better players in the Finland squad this summer.
Poland - 0.2% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Paulina Dudek and Ewelina Kamczyk
Players to Watch - Ewa Pajor
Despite only having a 0.2% chance of going all the way this summer, Poland have been given 2 Path to Glory cards. We wouldn’t be getting our hopes up for these two. If there’s any chance of Poland competing at this tournament, then it’s Ewa Pajor. With 35 goal contributions for Barcelona this season she’ll be the main threat, if the service is there.
Wales - 0.1% Chance of Winning
Path to Glory - Angharad James-Turner
Players to Watch - Saf Middleton-Patel
Someone has to come last I suppose. Wales’ chances were always going to be slim, but being put in a group with England, France and Netherlands has done them no favours. Our player to watch would’ve been Mayzee Davies but she unfortunately picked up an ACL injury in the lead up to the tournament. We’ve picked out Manchester United goalkeeper Saf Middleton-Patel, with plenty of action expected on her goal, she could be the hero if Wales pick up any results!
