TOTW 11 PREDICTIONS

After a super stacked week, full of huge names, and a “best of” addition to the TOTW, we move into TOTW 11 with absolutely nothing to rave about. We could be seeing one of the worst teams this year, unless EA decide to spice things up again, and throw some informs out without reasoning or logic here.

Starting Eleven

Vaclik

We kick start this week's predictions with a trip across to Spain, where Sevilla took all the points in a 1-0 win over Valladolid. Despite the win, they were far from their dominant, lacking that magic they have shown previously this year. Vaclik in between the sticks however was in fine form, pulling off a string of fantastic saves, and helping his side continue to push at the top of the table.

Alexander-Arnold

Over to England now, where we could be seeing yet another Liverpool player featuring this week. Liverpool were away to Watford for their league game after the break, where despite going down to 10 men, they still managed to shut up shop, maintain a clean sheet and pick up the points in a 3-0 win. TAA scored for England last week, which most have boosted his confidence as he scored for Liverpool on the weekend, alongside helping keep another clean sheet.

Piszczek

Amongst a fairly poor TOTW lineup, Piszczek could very well be one of the top cards featuring within the final team. Dortmund continued their dominance this season with yet another win on the road, they took the points in a 2-1 win over Mainz, with Piszczek scoring the winning goal.

Silvestre

The final defender making the starting 11 comes from Italy, where Empoli took the points during a 3-2 win over Atlanta. Now Silvestre may not have managed to keep a clean sheet this week, however his heroic 92nd minute goal was what gave Empoli the points, which is surely deserving enough for an inform this week.

Rabiot

Sometimes the TOTW is just extremely lacking, which creates prime opportunities for players to step up and sneak in with a performance that usually wouldn’t quite do the trick. PSG picked up another 3 points this week with a 1-0 win at home to Toulouse. Rabiot was solid in the midfield, and having provided an assist to the only goal of the game as well, he may have just about done enough here.

Mooy

Back across to the Premier League now, where we find the second of four players to make the starting line-up here. Huddersfield were away to Wolves for their Sunday fixture this week, and in a game that provided just 2 goals, Mooy was the man behind them both. His inform cards were incredible last year, hopefully the same trend will apply here.

Cazorla

Back across to Spain now, where we find Cazorla, a man finally back from injury and finally back into these TOTW predictions. Villarreal picked up the points in a 2-1 win at home to Real Betis this week, and while Cazorla may not have found the net himself, his performance was definitely TOTW worthy. With 2 assists and a man of the match performance, could this be his time to take up the spotlight once again.

Thauvin

France again now, and despite this man being given a League SBC card only a few weeks back, there is simply no way that he can be excluded from this team. Marseille picked up the points with a 3-1 win over Amiens on Sunday, and with not one, not two, but three goals to his name, Thauvin is a lock for this week.

Alli

Tottenham and Chelsea was probably the biggest match this week in the Premier League, and despite most predicting an incredibly tight game, it was fairly one sided on the day. Now this spot could go to a number of players, with Son being a key contender based on his wonder goal. However, with 1 goal, 1 assist and a dominating performance from start to finish, Alli simply has to be the man who gets our vote here.

Sterling

Manchester City once again showed why they sit atop the table, with the goals flowing and the domination continuing. They were on the road this weekend, away to West Ham, where they picked up a comfortable 4-0 win. Sane was once again outstanding, but due to his current TOTW card is sadly excluded from these predictions. Fear not though, as Sterling was also great, scoring once and assisting a second to give himself a real shot here, and a serious chance at winning the POTM award too.

Lozano

Our final player to make the predictions this week is a Mexican hero, a man that terrorised FIFA players across the world last year. PSV were comfortable 3-0 winners over SC Heerenveen this week, and with 2 goals, 1 assist and a mesmerizing 90 minutes of football, we could be seeing a second inform already for this young Mexican.

Substitutes and Reserves

Musso

Onto the bench now, and with it our second goalkeeper selection of the week. Udinese played hosts to aroma for their league fixture this week, and despite an onslaught from the visitors, Udinese managed to hold on and take the points. Musso sufferer 26 shots throughout the match, but thanks to his heroic performance, not one touched the back of the net.

Denayer

Back across to Ligue 1 here, where Lyon played hosts to Saint-Etienne in their league match on the weekend. The game itself provided fans with just a single goal, and luckily for the hosts it was in their favour. Denayer not only contributed to the clean sheet, but was also the man who scored on the day.

Djalma

Alanyaspor picked up three points, with an absolute thrashing over Kayserispor on the weekend. There were plenty of top tier performances to choose from, but our nomination goes with Djalama. With a goal and two assists, he deserves his spot this week.

Ljajic

Besiktas continued their solid to start to the season with yet another 3 points during a 4-1 win this week. Ljajic was a fundamental part of this win, running riot throughout while also providing a goal and an assist himself.

El Khayati

ADO Den Haag were on the road this weekend, away to PEC Zwolle. The game was an absolute thriller, providing fans with 5 goals, where the guests just managed to edge a 3-2 win. El Khayati was the man of the match, playing a part in all 3 goals, scoring two himself and assisting the third.

Bongonda

Zulte-Waregem were 3-1 winners over Club Brugge in their fixture this week, and with an incredible performance across the match, Bongonda gets our nomination this week. Bongonda didn’t give the opposition a moments rest, causing havoc constantly and also scoring twice himself.

Balde Diao

Back over to Italy now, where we find a man who has been starved of a special card for far too long! Inter Milan continued their solid start to the season with a 3-0 win over Frosinone this week. Keita was absolutely sensational, scoring twice and assisting the third to play a part in each and every goal.

Hain

Did anyone ask for a 9 goal thriller, that ended in a 5-4 win for the visitors? No? Well, you’ve got it anyway. Unterhaching picked up the points during a dramatic 5-4 win over Carl Zeiss Jena on the weekend, and with a super sweet hat-trick under his belt, Hain gets a call up this week.

Luiz Adriano

With the limitation on Russian teams available within FIFA, a mention amongst these predictions has become rather than ever before. With this being said, Adriano was absolutely incredible this week and deserves a spot amongst the elite. Spartak were 3-1 winners over KSS this week, and with 1 goal and 2 assists, he deserves this place.

Lukebakio

The years of Bayern reigning supreme atop the Bundesliga could be coming to a close, with the team really struggling to see out games this year, and rivals improving by the day. This was shown once again when newly promoted Dusseldorf travelled across for their weekly fixture. The match ended 3-3, and despite Muller scoring twice for Bayern, it was a Lukebakio hat-trick that finds its way into this team.

Mitrovic

Down to our final two players this week, and our final Premier League player too. Fulham and Southampton provided fans with a game to remember, a 5 goal thriller that went in Fulham’s favour. Now there are two possible selections here, first up we have Sessegnon, with 2 assists, a fantastic game and no informs this year. Now this could very well be the selection, however our nomination simply has to go with Mitrovic, the man behind two goals, and a possible second Inform.

Sergi Enrich

Our final selection this week, is both a celebration and a disaster all in one. Eibar played hosts to Real Madrid on the weekend, and while a 3-0 home win may have been unthinkable at the start of the season, most wouldn’t even question it now. Enrich was fantastic on the night, with a goal and an assist to his name, he completes this 23 man squad.
