TOTW 10 Predictions

Although there are several high rated players likely to feature in TOTW 10 it can be classed as a general fodder side plus Kante. That being said with eight players of at least 86 rating I would still class it as a decent side in terms of FUT champ reward potential.

Goalkeeper

Samir Handanovic – GK - OVR 86>>87
There was a severe lack of goalkeeping options this week and thus although just making one save in a 3-2 Inter win over Napoli, Handanovic looks to be the strongest option. That is after receiving a 7.5 and MOTM from Gazzetta.

Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold – RB - OVR 87>>88
Liverpool made another statement this weekend, beating an Arsenal side who have looked very impressive in recent weeks, 4-0. Two strong candidates appeared for TOTW with both Mane and Trent making their claims. In this situation it is extremely difficult to ignore a defender with two assist and a clean sheet to their name and thus I would expect the IF to go the way of the Englishman.

Leonardo Bonucci – CB - OVR 85>>86
Penalty duty and defenders often make difficult TOTW decisions with their goals often not influencing decisions as much as those from open play. Bonucci however looks nailed on after scoring two penalties for Juventus in a 2-0 win over Lazio. With it being a big game, it becomes even more likely to see Bonucci in TOTW 10, not to mention that he was awarded an 8/10 from Gazzetta.

Felipe – CB - OVR 84>>86
Ending off a very high rated defence we have Atletico Madrid’s Felipe. The Brazilian scored the only goal of the game against Osasuna and although he is not nailed on, with a lack of La Liga options I can see him sneaking in.

Midfielders

Emmanuel Dennis – LM - OVR 74>>83
With no clear-cut option for the featured player this week I am going to take another punt on a silver to gold featured player. It didn’t pay off last time however it is still a concept which I can see happening. Dennis was fantastic for Watford this weekend as they beat Manchester United 4-1, putting the nail in the coffin or OGS. The Nigerian scored once and assisted another two from LM and thus should feature one way or another in this TOTW.

Toni Kroos – CB - OVR 88>>89
Many will be hoping to see Mendy picking up an IF this week but I’m here with a first hard truth. Realistically it looks as though Kroos will be the man picking up the upgrade with a lot of defenders already being in contention. Kroos was also named MOTM during Madrid’s 4-1 win after providing two assists from CM. The German missed out a few weeks ago but looks to be in a much stronger position this time around.

Ngolo Kante – CM - OVR 90>>91
The biggest name this week looks to be Kante after the Frenchman was dominant during a 3-0 Chelsea win on Saturday. Rudiger is also a strong contender after scoring one of the three goals but as mentioned with Kroos there are a lot of defensive options and thus I feel that Kante has the edge.

Rodri – CM - OVR 86>>87
The top three in England currently look unstoppable with Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City being several levels ahead of the rest of the league. City recorded a 3-0 win over Everton this weekend with Rodri scoring one of those three, a screamer at that, and going on to be named MOTM with an 8/10.

Steven Berghuis – CAM - OVR 81>>84
The Eredivisie has been a difficult league in general this year and this week was no different with multiple fringe options occurring but no obvious candidates. I feel that with the current promotion there will definitely be an Eredivisie player and thus Berghuis is getting the nod from me. The Dutchman scored twice in Ajax’s 5-0 win over Waalwijk.

Forwards

Jonathan David – ST - OVR 78>>86
Annoyingly David actually failed to make L’equipe’s TOTW despite being given a 7-match rating for his two goals and Lille CB, Django, received MOTM with an 8. Despite those two factors I am still willing to take the punt on David due to an abundance of strikers available to us this week.

Dusan Vlahovic – ST - OVR 78>>84
Vlahovic is currently one of the most in demand strikers in Europe after continuing to score goals on a regular basis. A potential move in January is on the cards and if not, the summer is inevitable. The Serbian added another two to his tally this weekend as Fiorentina recorded a 4-3 win against AC Milan. The gap between upgrades is only three weeks but as seen with Alvarez EA are willing to do that.

Substitutes

Jorge Cuenca – CB - OVR 70>>78
I could have ignored keepers altogether this week with it being even harder than the international break to select them. Instead, I am opting for another defender and although a silver one with the amount of times EA have included a 6th non gold this year I can see it happening. Cuenca was outstanding for Getafe this weekend, scoring one of their four in a 4-0 win over Cadiz.

Iago – LB - OVR 75>>81
There were a few shocks this weekend but arguably the biggest was Augsburg’s 2-1 win over Bayern Munich, which ends up delaying a OTW upgrade for both Upamecano and Sabitzer. There looks set to be an Augsburg player in TOTW however after Iago was awarded MOTM from Kicker for his assist in the performance from the underdogs.

Mario Pasalic – LW - OVR 78>>81
Atalanta recorded a convincing 5-2 home win over Spezia this weekend. Pasalic was the stand out player, scoring two and assisting another and after receiving a 7.5 from Gazzetta looks nailed on for a TOTW place. Unfortunately, it looks as though he played a LW role which is not great in terms of FIFA.

Roman Faivre – RM - OVR 75>>81
A couple of Ligue 1 midfielders look to be nailed on for this week, the first of which is Faivre. The French winger scored once and assisted another to help Brest to a comfortable 4-0 home win over Lens. With L’equipe awarding him an 8/10 he looks to be a strong candidate.

Amine Gouiri – LM - OVR 78>>82
The second Ligue 1 midfielder is Gouiri, playing a LM role the French youngster scored twice for Nice, as they went on to beat Clermont 2-1 away from home. L’equipe awarded Gouiri a 7/10 which alongside two goals should be enough for him to sneak in.

Lars Stindl – CF - OVR 82>>84
It was actually Hofmann who ended up being awarded MOTM from Gladbach’s 4-0 win over Furth but with Hofmann being featured in the previous TOTW he won't be making back-to-back sides. Instead, we move onto the next best option in Stindl. It’s rare to see a ST without any goals included but with three assists you can’t really complain

Christian Benteke – ST - OVR 75>>81
Benteke was snubbed last week for his international performance however that is not stopping me from predicting him for back-to-back weeks. The Belgian forward looks to be back at his best, scoring another two goals, this time domestically for Palace. As they played out a 3-3 thriller with Burnley. Tarkowski also provided two assists from CB but with Benteke being awarded MOMT everywhere I would expect the IF to go his way.

Reserves

Dominik Martinovic – ST - OVR 67>>76
The first of five hat tricks in the reserves section this week is Martinovic and although we are unlikely to see all five go to ST options, I would rather predict it like this than guess which one will fail to make it. Martinovic was named Kickers POTW after scoring three times during Mannheim’s 3-3 home draw with Osnabruk.

Juan Caicedo – ST - OVR 68>>77
Last year we saw these cards getting snubbed from TOTW on a regular basis but with a couple getting in during FIFA 22 and no major snubs either I am more than happy to predict an IF Caicedo. The Colombian scored all three of Tolima’s goals during their 3-0 win at home to Quindio.

Deniz Undav – ST - OVR 69>>78
This was a difficult decision as after a 7-1 Gilloise win this weekend there was a CB with two goals. I simply couldn’t go on to ignore Undav’s performance though, with the German scoring three and assisting another in said win. Gilloise are now seven points clear at the top as they look to shock Belgium this season.

Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba – ST - OVR 74>>80
I still find the addition of Al Ain one of EA’s more random acts but Laba is perhaps a name you will remember from last season after ending up with an impressive FIFA card. His first IF of the game looks to be just over the horizon after the Togo international scored three times this weekend during Al Ain’s 5-1 away win.

Rhys Healey – ST - OVR 68>>77
Healey is most likely a name you don’t know but the English striker is currently tearing it up over in the second tier of France for Toulouse as they look to get back into the top division. Four goals this weekend makes him the divisions highest goal scorer with 12 for the season, while Toulouse are top of the table via the 4-1 home win over now 4th placed Sochaux.
