Playable Highlights:

Have you ever wanted to play Career Mode but don’t have the time or energy to manually play a full match, yet you do not want to fully risk simulating a match and potentially losing out of your control? Career Mode’s new feature ‘Playable Highlights’ removes these worries as you can now be in control of key moments in a match. The moments that you will be in control of will be varied between the quality of the team that you are playing and the attributes that your team has such as overall rating, fitness, sharpness and morale to ensure that there is many different scenarios that can occur. Two types of highlights can occur being both ‘defending highlights’ where you are in control of not conceding and ‘attacking highlights’ where you will have the chance to add to the scoring. Playable highlights are also available in ‘Player Career’ where you will be in control of your ‘pro’ player or the entire squad if you choose to do so.

Main Menu Experience:

A key part of Career Mode is the menu and user interface, this is where players can navigate their squad, training, and transfers to name a few. In FIFA 23 Career Mode there is a new user interface that has resulted in a faster operating system which allows users to spend less time navigating and more time thinking about how to best manage their time off the pitch.

Dynamic Moments:

The experience off the pitch has been heightened as new cut scenes and moments during transfers, training and press scenes enter the game mode. Seven new ‘Dynamic Moments’ can be experienced in Career Mode which are varied to how well you are performing in the game. Dynamic Moments can also be seen in Player Career such as breaking into the Starting XI of the team you are playing with could trigger new cut scenes.

Pre-Season Tournament Format:

An updated system has been implemented into FIFA 23 Career Mode during pre-season where eight teams will play three matches each to progress. Only the winner of the pre-season tournament will receive prize money and the scheduling of pre-season has been moved closer to the start of the season to ensure players are fit and sharp for league action.

Based on the transfer you will receive a rating from A to F to showcase if you have received a good deal or not for a player the transfer sum and the asking price of the selling club- loan signings will be determined on the agreed wage split structure.

Transfer Negotiations Tension:

A new indicator has been added to the transfer negotiation period where a tension meter will appear to showcase the other party’s tension whether they are close to accepting an offer or close to rejecting an offer. This helps the player understand whether they can continue to negotiate for a better deal or to accept/ reject the negotiations.

Create a Club:

While creating your own club, customisation is crucial and within FIFA 23 you can now customise your third kit and goalkeeper kit to suit your needs. You will now have the full free-flowing ability to edit player names, height, weight, body appearance, preferred positions, attributes and even some in-game animations.

Player Personality:

Within Player Career Mode there are 3 new personalities that you can play under, these personalities have their own traits and attributes that allow your pro-player to develop into and creates character on and off the field. To develop your pro-player you will have to earn ‘Personality Points’ that you will earn and save up to expand your personality traits, this will be determined by your behaviours on and off the pitch, decisions on the field may be holding the ball too long which will effect your personality. There are three personalities that your pro-player can develop under:

Maverick- Aggressive player that is solely focused on goals and being involved with all the match action. A maverick looks to be the main player on the field and has ambitions of being a star player. A more spontaneous lifestyle can be seen with this type of player as they look to be flashy on and off the field.

Virtuoso- Technically gifted player who looks to change moments in the game based on their intelligence in a match at the most unlikely times. They are very ambitious; however, these ambitions are kept privately as they focus on the task at hand. Rather humble players focusing on their finances and influences to help them achieve more on the pitch.

Heartbeat- The pulse of the team is the main focus and drive to make a squad’s tactics come together. They read the game better than any other player on the field ahead of their opponents through drive, determination, and resilience. The priority for this player is that the whole team benefits from them as they don’t prioritise personal rewards, only team rewards. They are always ready to help others on the way to success.

Off-Pitch Activities:

Performing off the pitch is crucial for any player, but with the rise of fame comes the rise of distractions. In FIFA 23 Career Mode you will be met with many new features off the pitch such as Investments and Shopping.
