Welcome to Cop or Flop! The brand new SBC review segment here on FUTBIN!
The first RTTK SBC has been released and it’s the Ginger from Sweden, Dejan Kulusevski! With a monster upgrade, the potential for a further +2 and the all important ability to be a lengthy boi, he could lock down the right side of your attack for the next few weeks.
Check out his card - Dejan Kulusevski 85
Road to the Knockout upgrades are given when a player's team win 2 of their next 3 European matches and when their team qualifies for the knockouts. With the second round of fixtures being played from 25th-27th October, the market will have crashed about 5 more times before we see any of these upgrades start to happen.

At 162,000 coins, Dejan Kulusevski would be the 11th most expensive Gold Player in the game. A whole 43,000 coins more expensive than his teammate Heung Min Son at the time of writing. In terms of value for coins, Spurs would need to turn their patchy CL form around in what is a basket case of a group in order to make this approach anything like value for coins.
Kulusevski RTTK SBC Analysis
The Swedish loanee, but not loanee, now full time Spurs player has been given a cracking upgrade from his underwhelming 81 base card. With a huge +6 in pace and +5’s in both passing and shooting, he now has all the stats required to be a real threat in attack. With 89 curve and 87 long shots, his trivela’s should be Quaresma-esque and massively make up for a lackluster 3 star weak foot.
But is he Lengthy? Well, yes, for now. With an Architect chemstyle he gets a massive 97 strength pushing him over the +14 (or sometimes +15) differential required with his 82 agility. At 6’1 with 77 jumping and 97 strength, he should be a menace in the air at the back stick.
A word of caution though, if he gets an upgrade and EA decide to give him +2 Agility and no strength, he loses his length, a real tragedy for any man.
Lengthy? Yes, Kuluslengthy (I’m here all week).
How Does He Compare?
Dejan has some stiff competition as a winger in the Premier League. With the newly released OTW Sterling SBC (requiring one 84 rated squad fewer and with more potential for upgrades…), the least sexy sounding one named Brazilian Antony and the Egyptian King himself Mo Salah for company, Kulusevski is going to have to be pretty special to be the go to choice here.
Without the blistering pace of Salah, 5 star skills of Antony or bizarre T-Rex running style of Sterling, you should only complete Kulusevski if you love bulky players. Otherwise there are better tradeable options out there.
Kulusevski does offer solid club links to Kane, Son, Romero and Lloris, however until Alex Isak gets a special card of some description, Sweden isn’t a stellar nation for linking.
Kulusevski RTTF - Cop or Flop?
With 87% downvotes on the SBC, and one of the top comments on his player page being;
It’s fair to say, you have already had your say on this one.
Antonio Conte has made his Spurs side tough to beat, however, the parody mafia boss’ men would need to find a missing ruthlessness in attack in order to get the upgrades required to make this card halfway worth completing.
Unless you’re a patriotic Swede, a lover of carrot tops or a fan of the spuds, this Dejan déjeuner is not worth having.
