The next World Cup event kicks off soon in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, and the rumours are that it will be a “Future Stars” themed event - World Cup Phenoms, focusing on the young talents that have emerged at this year’s tournament.

World Cup Phenoms will expand upon the World Cup events we’ve seen currently alongside WC Stories, WC Path To Glory & Road to the World Cup.

World Cup Phenoms Loading Screen & Card Design

While it’s still unconfirmed by EA if “Phenoms” is the name of the upcoming event, we have received a Loading Screen in FUT with the updated card design.

What is the World Cup Phenoms Promo?

While we’re still awaiting official confirmation from EA on what exactly this promotion entails, the FUT rumour mill has, as always, been turning!

World Cup Phenoms is rumoured to be centred around talented, highly admired youngsters (likely Under 24s) that have made a name for themselves, not specifically just at this World Cup tournament, similar to Future Stars events of years past.

However, this event will be slightly different to Future Stars we expect, focusing entirely on nations that qualified for the World Cup, or maybe even only nations that are remaining in the tournament, Croatia, Brazil, Netherlands, Argentina, Morocco, Portugal, England (it’s coming home), and France at the time of writing.

World Cup Phenoms Promo Release Date

As confirmed in the loading screens, the World Cup Stories event will be released on Friday December 9th, running until Friday December 16th.

It has been confirmed on EA’s website that World Cup Phenoms will be a 1 week event, with the next promo confirmed for December 16th, likely the Team of the Tournament event.

World Cup Phenoms Predictions & Rumours

While we’re yet to have official confirmation of the player selection and the direction being taken around FUT Phenoms, let’s take a look at some predictions & rumoured inclusions for some young talents that could be featured in this upcoming event.

Jude Bellingham has left England fans purring at times throughout this World Cup, with a true coming-home, I mean coming-of-age performance against Senegal. He’s rumoured to be headlining the FUT Phenoms promo.

While Spain crashed out to the hands, or feet of a cheeky Hakimi panenka, Pedri’s potential and talent cannot go unnoticed, and he’s rumoured to be included in FUT Phenoms.

Rafael Leao is another inclusion that’s been touted by the community, breaking into an entertaining Portugal side.

Bukayo Saka and Jamal Musiala both deserve a place in FUT Phenoms, the sky is the limit for our Starboy and the German maestro.

Other rumours include Real Madrid pairing Eder Militao & Rodrygo, the jewelry-wearing Jules Kounde, as well as Josko Gvardiol, Gavi, Julian Alvarez, Jurrien Timber, and Portugal’s star striker, Goncalo Ramos.
