TOTW 13 Predictions FIFA 23

The ongoing TOTY promotion limits the availability for the top options this week, hence no Haaland with a 12th man card expected. There are still several options to look forward to though with Mahrez, Trippier and a featured Nketiah leading the way.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic - GK - 73 > 86 OVR

Five saves and clean sheet  /  1-0 win against Fiorentina  /  7.5 Gazzetta Rating

Goalkeepers are often difficult to select but this week was on another level. EA can practically select anyone. Milinkovic-Savic is a strong candidate but the fact he is a silver NIF makes it difficult, meaning he would likely have to receive one of the two featured slots to make the cut.

Kieran Trippier - RB - 84 > 88 OVR

Clean sheet and MOTM  /  0-0 draw with Palace  /  8 Sky Rating

Newcastle’s defensive dominance continued with yet another clean sheet. With still only eleven goals conceded this season they boast the best defensive record in the division. Trippier has played a considerable role in that success, bringing his knowledge of the game and leadership to the club. Another MOTM performance from him could easily result in his SIF.

Mario Hermoso - CB - 80 > 84 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  3-0 win against Valladolid  /  2 Star Marca

Since Griezmann’s WC performances, the Frenchman has excelled for Atletico. Having already picked up an IF post-World Cup he is only denied due to proximity this week too. I still feel Atletico claim an IF this week though and thus we look to Hermoso who found himself on the scoresheet alongside keeping a clean sheet.

Marc Bartra - CB - 81 > 85 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  4-0 win against Istanbulspor  /  8.8 Whoscored Rating

The Turkish League has been steadily picking up IF’s the past few weeks and that trend could be set to continue with Bartra. The Spanish CB scored one of their four goals alongside picking up MOTM.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo - RB - 82 > 85 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  / 2-0 win against Salernitana  /  7 Gazzetta Rating

Although there were several defensive options this week Di Lorenzo is among the best FIFA options and although it's not a huge factor it can sway tight decisions. A modest match rating but a goal and assist nonetheless

Ivan Rakitic - CAM - 82 > 85 OVR

Goal  /  1-0 win against Cadiz  /  8.1 Whoscored Rating

Sevilla are in the worst position they have been in for a long time. Going from having European success to a relegation battle. Two wins from their last three have helped them gain some traction but still sit only one point ahead of the bottom three. A last-minute Rakitic penalty could end up being crucial come to the end of the season.

Enzo Fernandez - CM - 78 > 85 OVR

Two assists  /.  3-0 win against Santa Clara  /  8 Abola Rating

After strong performances for Benfica and a superb showing at the World Cup Fernandez was linked with several sides around Europe. For now, he wants to stay with Benfica though and his performances have continued to show why he is hot property. Two assists this weekend should secure him a SIF.

Riyad Mahrez - RM - 86 > 88 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  4-2 won against Tottenham  /  9 Sky Rating

With Manchester City falling two behind to Tottenham it looked as though the gap at the top was set to continue to grow. That was not to be the case though. A superb comeback by City, led by Mahrez ensured the pressure was maintained.

Jeremie Boga - LW - 77 > 83 OVR

Two assists /  3-3 draw with Juventus  /  7 Gazzetta Rating

An entertaining encounter between Juventus and Atalanta ended in a point each, the in-form Lookman dominated proceedings with two goals and an assist but with the Nigerian in the current side, we have to look elsewhere. Both Boga and ADM seem to be the best options and the former has the better match rating of the two.

Eddie Nketiah - ST - 73 > 86 OVR

Two goals  /  3-2 win against Man United  /  8 Sky Rating

Many expected an Arsenal bottle of the title but as each week goes by they continue to answer the questions asked. Despite falling behind to United Arsenal managed to come out on top. Both Saka and Nketiah are valid options for the IF but with how they are doing featured now I favour the latter despite being silver

Borre - ST - 78 > 83 OVR

One goal, one assist  /  3-0 win against Frankfurt  /  1.5 Kicker Rating

Frankfurt have several options for this side with many opting for the familiar face of Lindstrom, with the official MOTM going the way of Borre I find it hard to ignore the forward, despite coming off the bench.

Substitutes

David Raya - GK - 76 > 83 OVR

Five saves and clean sheet  /  0-0 draw with Leeds  /  8 Sky Rating

Ben Mee was officially MOTM from the Brentford match but with a flurry of defensive options and the complete opposite when it comes to keepers I have decided to take the punt on Raya. The Spaniard made several important saves to keep the score level as he continues to impress between the sticks.

Aritz Elustondo - RB - 82 > 85 OVR

Assist and clean sheet  /  2-0 win against Vallecano  /  2 Star Marca

Once again La Liga options were slim and as we saw last week EA opted to force some players in from the division. I expect that to be the case again for TOTW 13. Elustondo is a realistic punt having kept a clean sheet while also providing an assist.

Pedro Porro - RWB - 81 > 85 OVR

Goal and assist  /  2-1 win against Vizela  /  7 Abola Rating

Pedro Porro is currently heavily linked with a move to the Prem but he hasn’t let the off-pitch rumours hamper his performances. The Spaniard was involved in both Lisbon goals as they fought out a 2-1 win.

Jarrod Bowen - RM - 80 > 84 OVR

Two goals  /  2-0 win against Everton  /  8 Sky Rating

In what could prove to be Lampard's final game as Everton boss his side lost 2-0 to fellow strugglers West Ham. It was a Bowen brace which did the damage, doubling his total to four for the season.

Ellyes Skhiri - CDM - 79 > 83 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  7-1 win against Werder Bremen  /  1 Kicker Rating

As you could probably guess Koln had several options after thrashing Bremen 7-1 and it was not an easy choice to make. The fact Skhiri started as a gold was the deciding factor eventually for me. Being involved in three goals from CDM is almost always enough to make TOTW.

Jonas Wind - ST - 76 > 83 OVR

Two goals  /  6-0 win against Freiburg  /  1 Kicker Rating

From one big Bundesliga win to another. This time with Wolfsburg hammering Freiburg 6-0. Wind was the only player to receive a perfect 1 from Kicker after he scored twice, making him an easy selection for this side.

Alfredo Morelos - ST - 76 > 83 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  3-2 win against Kilmarnock  /  8.7 Sofascore Rating

It’s highly that Celtic will throw away their nine-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership but Rangers must continue to pick up three points every week to keep the pressure on. A tough-fought 3-2 win came on Wednesday with Morelos involved in every Rangers goal.
