TOTW 15 Predictions FIFA 23

Although TOTW 15 looks set to be a defensive-heavy side it is still one of the better teams we have seen recently. With the likes of Hakimi, Alba, Coman and Navas all excelling there are several big-name players to get your hands on.

Keylor Navas - GK - 88 > 89 OVR

Four saves and clean sheet  /  Nottingham Forest 1 - Leeds 0  /  8 Sky Rating

One of the most bizarre transfers in January has to be Navas from PSG to Nottingham Forest, even with it being a loan deal. The Costa Rican showed his quality throughout his debut for the club. Making several key saves to be named MOTM, as Forest secured three points.

Guerreiro - LB - 82 > 85 OVR

Three assists  /  Dortmund 5 - Freiburg 1  /  2 Kicker Rating

Guerreiro has always been a threat going forward and can play a more advanced LM role when needed. He played his usual LB position this week but still provided three attacking returns for Dortmund as they dispatched Freiburg with ease.

Jordi Alba - LB - 85 > 87 OVR

Goal, assist and clean sheet  /  Barcelona 3 - Sevilla 0  /  3 Stars Marca

Alba is the first of many La Liga options this week, something that we have not been accustomed to as of late. The Spaniard was involved in two of Barcelona’s goals as they managed a 3-0 win over Sevilla. There are a lot of defenders this week but Alba is among the best.

Ibanez - CB - 79 > 87 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Roma 2 - Empoli 0  /  7.5 Gazzetta Rating

An obvious shout for featured TOTW goes to Ibanez. The Brazilian scored one of Roma’s two goals during their 2-0 win and with a substantial upgrade becomes a very usable option in FUT.

Achraf Hakimi - RB - 84 > 87 OVR

Goal and assist  /  PSG 2 - Toulouse 1  /  8 L'equipe Rating

The risk here is the proximity of the TOTY card Hakimi recently received. With this IF being significantly lower than that card I can see EA including him though. The Moroccan was named MOTM in both fixtures this week and could have easily got the nod from either.

Kingsley Coman - LM - 86 > 88 OVR

Two goals  /  Munich 4 - Wolfsburg 2  /  1.5 Kicker Rating

Munich came out the blocks fast, scoring three times within the first 19 minutes, with Coman scoring two of those goals. The game then settled down and became competitive but the damage was already done. Coman looks to be the clear IF here.

Pierre-Emile Hojberg - CDM - 83 > 86 OVR

Assist  /  Tottenham 1 - Manchester City 0  /  9 Sky Rating

Although many may expect a record-breaker Kane card this week, while it is not out of the question in the past EA has not given out such cards for club-based records. I do however feel that there will be an IF from this match. Hojberg for me is the best candidate after a 9-match rating was awarded his way.

Steven Berghuis - CM - 82 > 87 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Cambuur 0 - Ajax 5  /  8 VI Rating

After dropping several points over their most recent fixtures Ajax has begun to drop down the table but a convincing win this Sunday has put them back on track. Berghuis stood out with two goals and one assist which alongside his match rating should easily see him feature this week.

Bryan Mbeumo - RW - 75 > 83 OVR

Goal and assist  /  Brentford 3 - Southampton 0  /  9 Sky Rating

Southampton continues to struggle and relegation looks more likely by the week. Another convincing performance from Brentford on Saturday added to their misery with Mbeumo causing the damage down the right-hand side.

Habib Diallo - ST - 77 >83 OVR

Two goals  /  Strasbourg 2 - Montpellier 0  /  8 L’equipe Rating

There were very few strikers that scored more than once when it came to gold options. So those that did, especially from the top five leagues, are very likely to be included. That was then reinforced by Diallo receiving an 8/10 from L’equipe

Kolo Muani - ST - 78 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Frankfurt 3 - Hertha 0  /  2 Kicker Rating

Kolo Muani is starting to receive a lot of attention and it is performance such as this that results in that. Another two goals for the French striker this weekend put him into double figures for the season. He was named MOTM with a 2 from Kicker and will likely also receive the featured IF.

Substitutes

Pedrag Rajkovic - GK -78 > 83 OVR

Penalty save and clean sheet  /  Mallorca 1 - Real Madrid 0  /  2 Star Marca

Although Rajkovic didn’t have much to do he did save a penalty to keep his clean sheet. With Mallorca shocking Real Madrid to claim all three points on Sunday I would expect them to feature in TOTW 15. Rajkovic is the only real option for that to happen.

Craig Dawson - CB - 78 > 83 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Wolves 3 - Liverpool 0  /  9 Sky Rating

At this point should we even be surprised to see Liverpool struggling? Their season goes from bad to worse with Wolves inflicting a 3-0 loss upon them. Several players could receive an IF but Dawson is my selection having performed brilliantly at the back while also grabbing a goal.

James Tarkowski - CB - 79 > 83 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Everton 1 - Arsenal 0  /  8 Sky Rating

The new manager swing was in full force as Everton shocked Arsenal to give Sean Dyche his dream start. Tarkowski scored the only goal of the game as Everton played a superb tactical battle to put pressure on Arteta’s Arsenal.

Joao Mario - RM - 79 > 83 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Benfica 3 - Casa Pia 0  /  8 Abola Rating

It was a superb week for Joao Mario who across two games managed five goals and one assist. He could get the nod from either match but it’s his second which is the more likely of the two.

Pere Milla - LW - 76 > 83 OVR

Hat trick  /  Elche 3 - Villarreal 1  /  3 Star Marca

Onto another hat trick in La Liga now as the division finally starts to offer some strong candidates. Elche finally picked up their first win of the season, on their 20th attempt by shocking 5th-placed Villarreal. Milla scored all three of those goals and although two were from the spot his place is practically guaranteed.

Kelechi Iheanacho - ST - 77 > 83 OVR

One goal, two assists  /  Aston Villa 2 - Leicester 4  /  8 Sky Rating

Iheanacho only made this side due to Sancet receiving a future star item but regardless of that he still makes a strong case. The Nigerian was involved in three of Leicester’s four goals as they came out on top of an enthralling six-goal thriller.

David McGoldrick - ST - 70 > 83 OVR

Hat trick  /  Derby 5 - Morecambe 0  /  9.8 Sofascore Rating

A player below the Championship in England rarely manages to pick up a SIF in FIFA. McGoldrick looks set to achieve that though after he scored three to help Derby to a comfortable three points.
